When I was sleeping this morning, I heard a weird alarm or siren like noise in my dreams. It was really loud and obnoxious during the fact, but the really strange thing is that I could still hear it when I was awake and lucid, at least for a couple of minutes as it slowly got fainter and fainter.
I asked my nephew who was already awake before me if he could hear anything and he replied in the negative.
the best way I can describe the noise was that it sounded something like a high pitched cicada's hum, growing much higher in pitch for an instant, then receding. Each interval of noise was about 6 seconds in length, I'd estimate.
Does anyone have any idea what happened?

I'm not sure. I don't remember hearing this noise before today.
I had a slight headache when I woke up, but I don't think it's related.
I don't feel any other symptoms, and nothing else seems off, just that noise.

Alright guys, I need some help.
I live in the U.K., in the strange and wonderful land of Wales. I live in a council house, and in a pretty normal area.
The man who lived here died about 3 years ago, and loved the house. He always took good care of the garden, and even though I never met him, he died just before we got his house.
This is one of my main points, that the old man loves the house and came back here as a spirit, but I'm not sure.
Some freaky shit has happened in my house. It never really happened as soon as we moved in, but is over the past year or a little more.
Before I say the first creepy experience, I must say me and my brother both sleep in a bunk bed.
We have had some weird experiences, but nothing like this.
This is what confirmed, absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, confirmed there's something strange going on.
The scene is I'm back in my bedroom, trying to fall asleep. Beardguy's brother is sleeping, but gets up to go to the bathroom. That's alright, nothing creepy or scary. Once he's all done, he gets back into our room.
But this is when shit gets freaky
He walks into the room, and stands on the inside of the door and pushes against the door. Not moving, Not saying a word, just pushing against the door. I am worried about him, so I start calling out to him quietly. He doesn't respond, still just pushing against the door. I eventually start shouting at him, but still nothing.
It's not until I hear some noise in my parents room, that I realize my brother was in my parents room, and shadow child wasn't real.
Freaked out I try and sleep.
Can someone help? I'm seriously confused and scared. Also, it was CHILD sized, not adult.

My grandpa told me about this thing
He was working in the next village and one day there was no bus so he had to walk to our village and while walking (the time was around 2 am) he saw this thing and he ran like hell and when he turned back this thing was chasing him ( i don't know how he didn't fell unconscious because i would but when he turned back again it was gone) he still ran to the village thought
