Does anyone know of any spooky things relating to Scotland?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>

Yes.
>>
>>17920469
The grey man of Ben MacDhui is one:
Said to be a tall bipedal creature that is surrounded by Mist and drives people into a blind panic, it's also known as the Am Fear Liath Mòr.
Scotland has a very rich Celtic history, the Celts were fairly famous for the worship of spirit entities through ceremonies, some of that risidual spiritual energy may have manifested at hotspots creating the spirit at Ben Macdhui. The walk up the mountain itself is beautiful, so if you're looking for spooks I recommend it.
There are also a LOT of Lake monsters in Scotland which you can learn about.
Spirits are also quite prominent, the Odail pass area of the Isle of Skye is said to be haunted by a wailing shape-shifting spirit, but Skye is a generally spiritual place with plenty of Celtic druidic mythology to keep you interested.
There's also plenty of Generic Celtic-Briton mythology, such as Hags, Brownies, sea-folk, Giant black animals (Cats mostly), it's a place full of Folklore mate.

As a person who had an imaginary friend as a child, does anyone remember how they looked like to you?

I tried to make one as a kid to be like fosters home for imaginary friends. It didn't work.
>>
>>17920339
I had a black silhouette shape of a man.
He couldn't speak, but he made expressions of emotions.
>>

Must suck to lack imagination and creativity at such a young age but if you're referencing fosters it's not your fault. The world changed significantly after 1998.

As for op's question. I don't remember details of what it actually looked like but he was always 100 years old. Had about 6 different personalities, which in hindsight I realize are the basic emotions a child goes through and he had a strong disdain for my left hand.

For about 5 years (be about 7-8) I would not willingly do anything with my left hand. Absouloutley nothing. Kinda worked out because I played soccer so no hand shit. But I would literally not do anything with my left hand except try to choke it, drown it, I would stick it in ant holes. Weird shit.

With a respect to esotericism... I guess I knew from a young age that the 'left hand path' wasn't for me. I'ma good person and can say that without a doubt. I've always been ahead of my time.

Post your experiences, meditative, therapeutic, stage, or otherwise.

Has anyone been able to plant deeper, more subconcious commands? How?

Has anything unpredictable happened on waking, or things gone more right than you thought?

I've been interested in quick hypnosis and the stuff derren brown does for a while. But never cared enough to actually learn it or test/experiment with it because if it were that powerful everybody would do it right?
>>
>>17919764
No, it totally is that easy. It just takes a little practice. The hard part is finding willing volunteers.
>>
>>17920560
>practice
This is wrong. It takes trust, that's all. Most people are highly trusting and will go into trance easily. Some people have a harder time trusting and so they won't really take any suggestions until they feel like it's safe to take them.

It's not a skill you can train and it's not an act to perform. You either trust and let things happen or you tryhard and pretend it's not you doing it. The power of the mind is great, but it is YOUR power to wield. Hypnosis is simply allowing someone else to take the reigns for a bit. The hypnotist acts as a guide, that's all. If you don't trust you guide, they can't lead you anywhere. When people talk about getting better at hypnosis, they're actually talking about getting better at trusting people, getting better at listening, or getting better at understanding things.

My first and only real experience with hypnosis was having a simple foot paralysis suggestion work on me. I literally couldn't believe it, but I had lost my ability to move my feet. It took monumental effort on the part of my friends to get me to trust enough to let something like that happen, but when it did it was literally unbelievable. I literally couldn't believe it was possible, even though I literally couldn't move my foot.

/x/ ive been skeptical all my life but after a few 2nd hand stories from trusted friends about supposed supernatural encounters I want to attempt to have one myself.

What is the easiest way to get the personal experience of supernatural i seem to just be missing?

I don't need warnings, but nor am i looking to summon satan here, just the barest of evidence of unseen beings.

I figured where better to go look for answers than /x/ and other people who browse here because of their own beliefs or personal experiences. Could settle for a shared experience thread?

It depends on how the skinwalker (fleshgait? not sure what it's called now, been away for a bit) is assuming the subjects appearance...if it's simply taking it's skin and making it into pseduo-costume then I don't see a reason it couldn't. If it's just sucking in it's DNA or w/e and finding out how to replicate it's appearance then probably not. I'd assume aliens have different DNA or none at all (replaced with something else).

Idk if you any of you guys have ever been to Yorktown VA it's a pretty nice small town with some history.

Anyways I was there a few years ago for the first time so here is a green text about what happened

>Be me staying there for a few days on vacation
>Nice town like propaganda from the 50s (kids riding bikes and selling lemonade, everybody is happy and smiling ect.)
>Of course I liked the town but the while time I was there something about the town kind of creeped me out
>It was too perfect too happy there had to be somethig wrong with it
>FML there was
>As I was staying there I noticed alot of missing persons posters
>Me being the noisy piece of shit I am asked people about it
>Nobody really had anything to say about it
>Anyways before I left I wrote down the information of one if the people
>When I got home I looked then up on Facebook and ended up contacting someone they knew (anonymously of course)
>Started talking to him asking about he town
>Was getting him to snoop around the town I'm guessing he was as curious as I was and just wanted a reason to snoop
>After a while he stopped messaging me
>He also stopped posting on his Facebook page
>A few weeks later I was driving through that area and decided to check out the town
>Walking through looking at posters
>Saw a knew missing person poster
>It was him
>Needless to say I left and stipped snooping

If anybody ever visits Yorktown just don't snoop

PS I feel guilty because I'm pretty sure I'm the reason this guy went missing

So, let me begin by saying I never post or even go to /x/, I've only been here like 3 times in my 4 years of 4chan. Today, I saw something that I was confused about. I live in upper Florida, so my backyard is lined with a forest. I was mowing my lawn, and when I turned to finish off the row that I was mowing, I saw it. It was white, and had a gold cap. I didn't see a face, not even eyes, but that's because it was less than 3 centimeters in length, maybe .3 in width. It had longer wings than I drew in the sketch, but it flew in circles, and it fluttered like a humming bird. It also had what seemed to be like legs, but they were seemed together, like if someone had stitches I watched it for around 1 minute, as it just flew around a tree that was nearby. But near the end, it flew near me and "starred" in my general direction, and it just floated. after around 4 seconds, in a blink of an eye, it flew down towards the grass, beyond my sight. I still don't believe it was a fairy, and i'm pretty sure it was just an insect.
