i keep having some sort of existential crisis when learning about/meditating on magic/hermetics. I panic and begin to think i will no longer be able to function in normal society, or even be able to return to it as i tap in to a new reality, which then causes me to lose focus and lose the new found state i reached that caused the crisis. what should i do? is there a way to feel better about it? is there a way to retain the wash of knowledge i get in this state? it can be more than i can handle in one go, but at the same time i want more, and i dont want to close myself off from these experiences

This is interesting. Meditation is supposed to give you extreme awareness of the self. If meditating causes you to panic about your place in society, then you probably have some sort of mental condition. It's probably something as simple as social anxiety. Or, it could be more interesting like Antisocial Personality Disorder or a mild case of Autism (with the word actually being used correctly).
This is kind of nifty. I've never seen meditation cause someone to be aware of their own conditions like this before.
As for helping you, just get over it. Everyone has their own way of thinking. Society can and will eventually accept your way of thinking. Meditation is about peace. You won't be able to be at peace until you accept that.
Ordinary people have deeply personal experiences that profoundly change their outlook on life. The type of things that are utterly unrelated to what they think they know, or are able to relate to those of their peers. This can happen to anybody. Times of great stress are key periods in a life when such phenomena will occur. No religious cosmology, no theology, no occultism, no new age material need be or is regarded in this OP. I want to hear what the most down to earth /x/ posters have to say in regards to this. I'm only looking for those people who have had moments so strikingly moving, without reason or warning or explanation, that have altered an otherwise set view of the way it is.
I just got over telling my story in another thread, so pardon me if I refrain from digging it all up again. I know I should share first. A couple legit posts and I'll have the courage again to do so.
I'm going to unashamedly re-post what I wrote in another soon to be dead thread in hopes of spurring some interest here.
The only time I ever heard voices was when I was close to a nervous breakdown. I thought I was going to prison (entangled with bad elements, thus I allowed cops free reign in my home- they treated me poorly regardless), and at the time I'd alienated myself from my family. I wasn't involved is crime, I was involved with my own self-pity. I was drinking and taking sleeping pills. The stress and bad sleep/crazy waking dreams broke my mind. I would here people talking rapidly, as though around a corner but I could never tell what they were saying. It was constant, like something was breaking through. That was at the utmost worst part of my life. I think I was experiencing a break from reality. I was on the verge of stepping into the void. I've had an aunt who was a very gifted artist fall totally into it, resulting in her suicide. It was as scary as it was because I'd read that it was hereditary. I came back on my own, which lead me to believe, when a person does fall into that trap, their mind reels, trying whatever it can to shock, to remind, to pull you back before you die.

For example, one waking dream I had included all my current friends, my boss, co-workers, all were standing in this arctic landscape around this great bonfire, chanting this number. this thing keeps happening to me . sometimes when i fall asleep it just usually involves sound. i will try to explain it. its like i fall asleep but i must be half asleep and i hear sounds like a voice chanting or music playing sometimes my ears ring or feel like my ear drums are going to bust. it sounds and feel more conscious then when i am awake sometimes i think i am awake in this state but i am asleep. is it like i am almost astral projecting or something. it also feels like im going to die or leave my body . with a mixture of really good and horrible feeling.

While they don't use satanic iconography, their constant allusions to him and the imagery of some their music videos and promo art makes a pretty solid connection to folk-style encounters with the devil: the kind of stories that take place at the crossroads at midnight.

Sorry to bother with something personal, but I'm in need of some help. How do you guys restock on energy?? Lately I've been helping my mother getting out of an abusive relationship plus having some other personal issues and it's really draining me. I don't feel necessary sad but I feel really low on energy, everytime I see her and have a conversation about this I end up pretty weak...
What can I do to feel better??? I try to keep these things out of my mind as long as it's not necessary to give her my support, I'm going to eat a super veggie meal right now and I'm burning a lot of incense, but it seems it's not enough. What do you guys do in these situations???

Good karma. Do good deeds not for your own sake, and stay out of trouble. Life a simple dharmic lifestyle as well. It doesn't have to be austere, just keep things in front of you and on point instead of chasing after fleeting sensory distractions left and right.
Do this and you not only become an accumulator of focused energy, your mindfulness becomes enhanced as a result, further keeping you from making bonehead moves in life. Also nothing can latch onto you and drain your energy or mood. If you want to get metaphysical, you literally become too hot to handle: so now you not only have energy, you also have an increased sense of space and freedom to move about.
Make a conscious decision to stop being a low-energy weakling. Energy begets energy. Work out and put yourself first, don't let psychic vampires leech off of you. Once you become less of a mewling weakling, seek out other high-power people and don't leech off of them with your problems and issues, seek to build on each other's strengths.
Stop parenting your own mother for fuck's sake. Give her advice and leave it at that - here's some resources to help you, but you have to do it yourself, I ain't your daddy/mommy, good luck. Point the way, don't fucking carry her to where she needs to go like a useless sack of potatoes - that's why she's in an abusive relationship in the first place.
You aren't responsible for anyone else but yourself and your children, and your responsibility to them is to build their character and provide a good environment so that they can become responsible for themselves in turn. You don't owe your life to your children, having children shouldn't be the entirety of your whole fucking life.
The most important thing is physical exercise, the mind and body are one, if you want mental energy you need physical energy. Go outside for walks, go to the gym for weight training, engage in intensive cardio such as cycling or swimming.

Miller's channel seems to be the weirdest because she's only got one video, uploaded only a few days ago. She also seems to have less of a "character" than the rest. The others all seem to have a purpose/hobby, but Kate doesn't.
