So it's about 3:30am here and there's an extremely thick fog surrounded my neighborhood which is highly unusual because we never get fog here. I went out to the backyard and it was quiet -- quiet to the point where you could hear a pin drop. I heard a grunting sound and loud footsteps at the side of my house, and felt an overwhelming sense of dread like I was being watched on the OTHER side of my garden. What is going on? I'm terrified.
A few nights before that I went for a walk at midnight and when I was returning home I heard a strange sound that was like the mix of a clown horn and a chicken from behind me that kept getting louder. Am I going mad?

I don't know much about paranormal stuff, but a gun and some sort of religious thing for protection seems like a wise option here.
While it could be safe, and probably is. I would air on the cautious side of things for this.

Does anybody have any tips to stop dreaming? ever since i moved into my new house i have been having nightmares and what i would call fucked up dreams. For example, i had a dream where i was endlessly going up a set of stairs and at the top was a water slide. I would go down and then go right back to climbing up the stairs. But while I was climbing i was reliving all my past memories. In different time periods. The worst part was that i was completely lucid and knew it wasn't real but it was fucking wild. I remember saying, " This is fucked up. Why am i seeing you guys?" Members of my family and friends from long ago just looked at me while constantly changing. They would be in regular clothes and morph into 1800s garb. They would never speak and i would be climbing the stairs knowing what i was doing wasn't real but seeing all of them right there, they looked pretty fucking real to me. They would morph into nearly every kind of garb while seeing all my memories from a different perspective.While climbing , i would look to the side, into kind of a huge black void that surrounded the stairs. Thats where they would appear, constantly staying level with me while i climbed. I woke up and remembered the dream very vividly.That was about a month ago and i still can feel the feeling i had in the dream when i think about it. Every night i try to think positive things but i still have nightmares EVERY FUCKING NIGHT. I want them to stop.

I have recently read a pasta about how you experience everything around you. It basically says that every nerve, every little thing you hear, feel, see, taste and smell, is processed in your brain.
You are your brain. You are this mass trapped inside your skull, and you will never be able to escape. You will keep perceiving the world around you through that construct you built around yourself over all these years, but you will never be able to do anything on your own. You are helpless. You are vulnerable. You are dependent. You made your own prison of flesh, blood and bones. You will never be free.

Im more inclined to think the universe is just a 3d representation of the multi dimensional building blocks that make up said 3d universe.
and said universe is just a single building block to an even larger existence of some kind, multiverse making up the multicellular parts to something beyond human scales

Around me in central NJ we have a road that's pretty much the only dirt road with no lights around us. it has a history of kkk meetings and lynchings from the late 1800s, and they found a dead girls body from a serial killer there in the 1980s (I think 80s). they say when you go down the road if you go slowly you can see body's hanging in the trees or people tapping on your car, as well as fires out in the woods. also if you stop on the road a truck will come out of nowhere and try to run you off. it's a creepy ass place pic related it's the road

Not sure if this is the right thread to post this on, but i just had my first expirience with sleep paralysis, and it was terrifying my mind was conscious but my body was being held down by this really tall shadow creature. I couldn't move at all I remember yelling my guts out but nobody heard me. That black creature thing kept staring at me and sat on my chest. I would have to blame my lack of sleep on this, I work at a warehouse for 12 hours and get like 4 hours of sleep everyday. Anybody else had sleep paralysis experiences?

I had the skinny little Asian girl with long black hair crawl through my door and onto my bed. She just sat on my chest and watched me for a bit.
I usually get ayy lmaos or dim blue lights when it happens to me, but usually I fall back asleep and it turns in to a dream. I don't know how to explain it well.

There's a pottery shop in Mitcham that's been abandoned for years. Inside the building is a pile of mail that dates back almost a decade and on the bed out the back, there's a very long dead cat that was covered under a blanket.

Go up Waterfall gully at night, I posted my story a year and a half ago on here actually. Saw a man that wasnt there basically at the first waterfall. Just stay safe its dangerous to go on a trail like that at night.
