Today it is Claire Boucher aka Grimes birthday, and since she is clearly parodying lizard people and their dominion over us, ergo her alien tattoo on her hand, i thought we might make this a tribute to those who fight for good x Claire boucher thread.
So what do you think /x/ What do you believe is out there, if anything? Tell your stories dear anons.
I bet you're that same faggot that spams this greasy old hoe everywhere on mu.

Is one better off having an empiricist perspective, rather than that of a rationalist, in the context of the ontological existence of the paranormal
>>17481825
I would argue that the empiricist perspective is in general superior and should be used whenever possible. Because "rational" for us doesnt mean "existing" in our shared reality. Many things that sound rational are not real from the empiric point of view. And many things that sound irrational for our small minds are in fact real empirically (relativity, quantum physics etc.).
Im mostly interested in what sense most paranormal phenomena are real: As a psychological phenomenon or in physical form (including unknown physics).
>>17481825
What the Thinker thinks, the Prover proves. You are both the thinker and the prover. Proof can be obtained thru rationale, or empirical data. Empirical data is superior in today's world because of the dominance of science and math as the leading "spiritual forces"

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
I wonder how long until we develop the tech to gather empirical data on these types of experiences

Hello /x/, newfag here. I've been lurking and ocasionally posting on /b/, but I feel the need to tell someone about my fucking strange life. I'll be posting under the name Ripper once in a while, whenever I feel like writing this shit down.
Some info about me beforehand: I'm 20 right now, and I've had strange stuff happen to me since I can remember. I've seen strange creatures and had strange experiences overall, but even my closest friends and family think I'm crazy when I try to talk about them. And that's what brings me here. Maybe I'll even find out a thing or two on the way. So here we go I guess.
You know that old saying? The one with the cats having nine lives? Well, I don't believe it's true. I mean you only get one life, right? Right? Well I had a really freaky cat once. Out of her litter, she was the only one that survived. That's not very interesting though. What was interesting about her was that she died. Multiple times. I don't want to sugar-coat the story or make it very long, it's late in the night and I need to get some sleep.
Whatever, I'm deviating. Her first death was when she was about one year old. We had this pile of wood logs in our yard, which we planned to cut down for use as firewood in the winter. Those logs were huge though, and heavier than your average man. More like entire tree trunks than logs actually. But behind those logs was her favorite sleeping spot for some reason. Whenever we removed logs from the pile, we had to check it for her. One day though, we forgot to check the pile, and we took out a couple of logs. As the days passed, a putrid smell was arising from the pile. And as it only got stronger and stronger, we decided to check on it. When we looked behind the pile, in the cat's favorite sleeping spot, she was there alright. Sleeping her eternal sleep. A log fell on her, and she was basically pepsi.
>cont
>cont because character limit...
Exposed flesh everywhere, maggots eating her flesh, a bloated and blown-up stomach, all of it. We took her out of there and burried her in the field near my house. We're living right at the edge of my village, and there's a huge-ass field there. Very convenient sometimes too.
Anyways, a few days later, the god damn cat came back home like nothing happened to it. She was healthy and very much alive and well. We were freaked out, but we just assumed that the cat we burried was another cat. And life went on as normal. After a couple of months though, metaphorical lightning struck her again. A snake tried to enter our kitchen through a cracked plank in the wall, only to get stuck. And as luck would have it, it was the only species of venomous snake that lived around here. Not particularly dangerous for humans, but it could fuck up a dog or a cat. And my smart-ass cat decided it would be neat to eat the snake's head. So she did, under the horrified sight of my grandmother. She just ate the whole damn head, even the venom sacks. As you can guess, the cat was pepsi. Again. And again, we burried her in the field. And again, to our horror, she returned after a few days.
Now, I don't know if she had nine lives or not, but she died again in a rat trap. It was one of those big, old fashioned rat traps that could break your hand if you'd stick it in, so it had no problem killing a cat. Pepsi again, burried again, back home after a few days again.
She died a final time under circumstances unknown to me, though I suspect my grandfather, who finally decided to have none of that cat's shit anymore. What I know though is that he burned her corpse down to the bone, and scattered the skelleton. And that finally worked. She never returned after that.
This is the only strange creature my family also witnessed. The rest of them, it's just me. Still, to this day, I wonder about what the exact fuck that cat was.

Hey, reading helps with the writing process.
Sounds like some pet cemetery shit to me.
So if the government actually knows about extraterrestrial life, ufo's, aliens and stuff, and they keep it secret. Then there's the question. Why would they keep it secret. Of course we don't need to know the facts, we can still live our lives, but i'm just wondering why they would hide it. Seems like it's a very big deal then. Not saying it's true, just trying to find out what would be the most reasonable thing if it was true.
ali people aere scary and they dont want scare people
>>17481244
I think most people would be fine with "disclosure", but but but, religion is quite a powerful tool for controlling the masses.
>>17481244
It might be that with the aliens being more advanced the government would be admitting their inability to do anything about the alien presence and the aliens may prefer to keep to their level until humanity has "caught up" in terms not only in technology but more on a mental level. As it stands the aliens may view humanity as being for the most part mentally challenged and unable to participate on a higher and more refined level.

So there's a cult in my old home town and I'm kind of wanting to identify it. From what I've gathered they're one of the larger cults across the U.S. and have sort of a familial structure and are led by a shamanistic father figure. Any ideas /x/?
>>17481097
No more infos OP ? It's pretty vague
>>17481115
Well i don't have any more info on the cult itself, just the group. It's actually pretty rediculous. It's run by a man who's name is ACTUALLY "Evil" (like on his birth certificate) He's the seventh son of two lesbian witches in a coven before him. They goings on of the actual group are very secretive as it has an almost scientology-esque way of viewing things I.E. Don't go associating with those outside the family, never talk about the goings on, never let it slip that you're a part of the group. things of that nature. I try to get info where i can but like i said. VERY SECRETIVE
No Ideas /x/? I could probably just go off something if i had a general idea of some of the bigger cults across the u.s.
Since the other thread is retarded can someone fill me in on what the Erratas thing is?
Genuinely curious

dont be scared
youre all scared arent you
I wanna know
Okay so this sounds like a stupid question, but is the law of attraction capable of helping you win lotto? Also other stuff like bets, games, guesses, poker, questions etc. I don't ask this just because i'm desperate after money. It's just that if it actually works, then why not do it?
>>17480823
bump
Technically yes. But as you may imagine most people that play lotto wish to win. So good luck with being the most wishfull
>>17480843
Most people wish, yeah. Law of attraction is fundamentally a wish, but it's more than just feeling a ''wish''. You have to engage in it.
Can we get a REAL LIFE ACTUAL mystery thread?
Im talking about shit like pic related.
No ghosts, no spooks, no insane conspiracy, but lets get real shit. Sometimes reality is the scariest.

UFO experiences thread
>be 15
>be out with best friend
>it's sundown
>see the sunset reflected on a building
>looks cool af
>we start taking pics of it
>I look up one last time before we leave and see a white/orange rectangle in the sky
>friend looks up too
>she sees it
>another rectangle shows up
>the rectangles start changing color almost like they're trying to blend in with the color of the sky
>they glide across the sky much faster than a plane
>one starts moving with a greater velocity than the other
>the other catches up
>one goes to red then back to white
>watch them as long as we can
later
>google rectangular ufo sightings
>find a whole database of experiences identical to ours
>mfw
>inb4 why didn't you take pics
I tried, but the thing wasn't showing up on my shitty camera
>be 13
>bucharest, romania
>walking home from a friends house, not a long walk
>decide to sit down on a park bench and admire the stars for a bit
>notice a "star" moving abnormally fast across the sky
It didn't necessarily stand out on its own apart from moving quickly, it looked like the rest of the stars and a bit brighter/bigger than most. It was also moving about as fast as an airliner would move across the sky.
>watching it for a good 25-30 seconds
>it starts slowing down
>stops for about 3 seconds
>starts moving in the opposite direction
>does this a few more times before disappearing once it stopped
>got up and walked home
>fapped to a naughty magazine

I saw almost ecactly the same things, except it was horseshoe-shaped, not rectangle
