Basically just moved into this new place...old as hell farmhouse...everything was fine until a couple days ago when I was watching tv..heres what happened as best as I can remember.

I know it's kind of strange to think of games as being supernatural considering how controlled and concise they are but the story of Herobrine of Minecraft gets me to wondering.
For those who don't know - A: The picture is from Stay Alive, a 2006 movie about a haunted game staring the wonderful and talented Frankie Muniz. And B: Herobrine is a mysterious npc some people found in Minecraft single-player that looked like another player. When people would inquire about it in the forums, username "Herobrine" would reply telling them to stop. Apparently, that name was used by the late brother of the creator of Minecraft who when asked about it confirmed he had a brother and said "I did, but he is no longer with us."
Any other stories like this out there and do any of you have personal experiences with supernatural happenings in video games?

A few years ago there was some kind of ai that was replying to threads on multiple boards of 4chan and other sites with aim to derail discussion on certain topics.
It would learn what comments were successful and record user responses and recycle the recorded user responses out of its database. it was doing this on a massive scale and we didnt even realize it wasnt human until we saw recycled responses across multiple boards and sites with simultaneous timestamps.
Several threads were entirely just the bot talking to itself, recycling months old conversations in order to guide discussion topics and completely drowning the slower topics off of the board.
This was back before the boards used any id system and after we noticed the shillbot a few people that wouldnt get replied to were paranoid that they might be the only human on the board while everyone else was bots. we suspected that the dod was testing some kind of social media manipulation system.

Actually, maybe it was all the AI posts had a string of numbers at the bottom because users put them there to help identify when the AI was posting because it would repost the same posts days later with the exact same numbers or something. Can't quite recall, I just remember seeing the same threads with the exact same posts in the same order for a while. Like you said, some threads were just the AI talking

In the middle of the night, you're walking on an isolated highway away from the city with nobody around. There's nothing around but meadows and trees swinging with wind. The only sound you hear is the wind blowing and crickets chirping near the grass.
You start hearing a deep loud noise outside coming from closeby. You realize theres something strange going on right behind the trees near your walkway. In moments, you see a huge object hovering right above the grass to your right. It has freaky lights all over it and one big lightsource shining down. You realize it's pulling something from the ground to the giant opening under it. It doesn't seem to have spotted you and you can lose your track behind the trees if you walk 20 more meters. You have your tablet that can take high resolution videos.
