Since I was a little kid, I've always been... friends with a spirit. I first encountered it when I went to visit some ruins in Kroton: it was standing besides the column and nobody could see it but me; when my teacher (it was a school trip) left us free to roam the area I approached it and started talking to it: since then it's been visiting me from time to time. It's not a ghost, more like an entity, and according to what it always told me it was around since before the Greeks colonized our land (I'm from Southern Italy). It won't (can't?) explain me its exact nature, purpose (assuming it has any?) or origin in detail, but it's pretty chill when it shows up and it usually... counsels me, gives me advice about pretty much everything: it's not always great or in tune with how our world goes, sometimes it tells me to do some nonsensical bullshit or some downright crazy stuff... or at least so it seems atm, sometimes I get spooked by how events unfold so that actually having followed what it says would have been the best course of action. Aside from "personal" advice, there is one area this entity (I gave it a nickname but it's kinda stupid) excels in: science. I know it sounds weird considering it's a supernatural being and stuff, but it has a knowledge of maths and physics that is simply baffling, I think that the reason is that it's from another plane or some shit so the fabric of our universe (which is pretty much maths, think of the fibonacci sequence) is easy for it to comprehend. Idk, that's the explanation I've come up with, you tell me what you think.
My problem is: should I try to exploit the fact I have such a powerful being helping me out or should I just "enjoy the ride" and try not to think about it in materialistic terms? It never gave any demonstration of force or violence but I always assumed it could fuck shit up if it wanted to.

So last night I was feeling particularly empty and emotionless. It's been a bit of an ongoing thing for a while... depression, I guess. I find it hard to maintain connection with people and find joy in interacting, or things, I lost interest in all my hobbies, standard depression stuff. There was a description of what it felt like to be a person who lost their soul on an episode of Supernatural I watched last night, and I was talking to someone on Skype about how I felt as if I related to that, you know, going through the motions and not really caring about much. I've accidentally fucked with demons and dark spirits in my past as a kid, and I vaguely wondered if somehow I had damaged my soul, but that was just speculation. This is what I actually wanted to write about: as I was talking about this, in front of my eyes in the total darkness, there was some kind of burst of multicoloured light that was far too bright to make out. It was like a disco light had exploded in front of my eyes. I said out loud, "What the hell was that?" and when I told the person on Skype, he said he thought I was asking about the three bursts of hissing (white noise) he heard suddenly. I got spooped and turned on the lights. Not the first time something like this has happened, but the disco lights were new. Any idea what the fuck that was about?

All you'd be trying to say is that science has never been wrong before; it was once thought that two animals with different numbers of chromosomes couldn't reproduce. Then it turned out they could. Now it's said that two animals of different gene groups can't reproduce, however there have been animals in the same gene group that can't reproduce, so who's to say it can't work the other way around?
