I don't think there is a hell. I think there are and infinite number of hells within the infinite number of parallel realities/universes.
People who have had an NDE or have done some astral travel to such places report all kinds of different scenarios. It's a "choose your own adventure" type thing.
My favorite (because I have personally experienced it myself) was 'becoming your sin'. I don't like that word, so let's say "becoming whatever tortured or prevented you from living as your true self". So, for an example - let's say you were lustful in life. Your hell would be a place where you don't experience lust, you ARE lust. You experience yourself as the pure concept of lust, and not in a good way. You don't have a hunger for it, you ARE the hunger.
You might be alone or with others. It's not for all eternity, though in a state like this there is no time, so it might seem as an eternity. In reality, it's just a stage, another step on your way home. But it sucks, it absolutely does. I became depression. I didn't have it anymore, I WAS it. I've been pain. I've been fear. Again, those aren't emotions or feelings, it's the naked concept. Crazy shit.
Other people report more classic biblical stuff, lake of fire, tortured by demons, no escape, no hope, eternal pain and suffering, dying and being resucitated only to die another horrific death. Exciting shit like that.
Same day everyday. Like, every single day plays out same as previous day, completely same. you wake up and do the same job and come home and then sleep, and the cycle repeats.

Basically all day everyday no matter what I'm doing or where im at or who I'm with all I can think about is that drug and what it did to me. I also feel depersonalized derealized disaccociated or something I just don't feel like myself anymore. I don't enjoy the things I used to. I truly believe the old me is dead. Used to be somewhat of a stoner. Now weed makes me clostrophobic gives me pain in all my joints and depresses me, so I had to give that up. For a long time I was so afraid of the dark I wouldn't even close my eyes. And I never used to have any of those kinds of fears. My once long thick hair is now thinning and receding. I truly believe the old me is dead. The worst part is I only turn 19 next month. Seriously considering suicide, I've been like this for almost 5 months

I never had a problem with depression or needed to take medication for anything, so maybe my viewpoint isn't really informed, but my personal view on prescription drugs is to stay as far away from them as I can. All the stories I hear are about them messing with your head.
I'm not saying I'm some anti-vaxxer hippie who looks for 'natural medicines', because that shit is retarded, but yeh.

I have had bouts of depression many times and I have seriously attempted suicide once, but the fact that doctors and staff took time out of their day to see that I am still alive is pretty decent of them.
