hey /wsr/, I built a PC just an hour ago
Everything is going great. Installed Windows for free easily, drivers are all updated with no hassle thanks to usb+other computer, but then there's one thing in my way: I need to connect wirelessly (because reasons) and I am only given the option to go with ethernet
As much as I want to be wired, I cannot due to physical limitations of my surroundings atm. My question is this: how do I switch my way of connecting to the internet from wired to wireless? I might be able to build a computer and know hardware stuff, but...

do you have a pci wifi card/usb wifi adapter? only some motherboards come with wifi out of the box, most notably m-itx boards. if you do not have a pci wifi card or usb adapter, you cant use wifi.

You planning on overclocking?
If you're not then there is no need for an aftermarket CPU cooler.
Again, if you're not, get the next best non-K CPU.
Also 750W 80 PLUS GOLD seems a little overkill for that card. You can get away with 600W, possibly even a good 500W PSU.
Unless of course you plan on doing SLI in the future, I suppose.

Not planning on overclocking, just want to be able to play most games at max settings. I put the CPU heatsink in there just because my current CPU has a heatsink, and I chose 750w just to be safe, but it does seem a bit overkill

If you're not overclocking then the heatsink that comes with the CPU will do just fine.
Unless you're one of those people that wants their PC to be dead silent, afaik stock heatsinks are louder than aftermarket, but I have never cared about this so I can't say.
You also might want to throw in at least a 240GB SSD to install your OS on? The bigger the better, but I think 240 is a good minimum these days.
Other than that imo there isn't really anything wrong with your build.

Hey guys
So yesterday i got a new battery for my Toshiba Satellite L505D - GS6000 to try and fix a problem with it since it turns on (Fan, LED Lights) but won't boot up (like go to desktop/log into a user) it just displays a black screen
It did work earlier today but it overheated and crashed whilst playing a game on Steam and I haven't been able to figure out how to turn it on again

Well since overheating can cause damage - maybe it caused a crucial component to die.
If the hard drive light is flashing (accessing hard drive) when you turn it on, it would be interesting to hook up an external monitor to see if the laptop display is bad.
If the hard drive is not being accessed, you might have a bad motherboard.
Hard drive might be ok, as you should at least see a BIOS screen, even with no hard drive.

There aren't obvious wrong answers. Each wrong answer is the right answer, but with a single error in its working.
For a greatly-simplified example,
1-3*4+2=
a) -9 (correct)
b) -12 (thought multiplication came last)
c) -6 (just went left-to-right)
d) -17 (thought subtraction came last)

Well, unless the question is misphrased, the way I see it [X] will make 20 'jumps' in one second, covering exactly 1 Unit of distance in 1 second. So it covers 72 Units in 72 seconds. So either it's a trick question or I'm missing some key data here

There's a contradiction here. Line 1 indicates a speed of 1 unit per second, line 2 indicates a speed of 0.8 units per second, despite claiming both refer to the same speed.
In any case, 72 units per 600 seconds is 0.12 units per second, by simple division.
