Hey guys

So yesterday i got a new battery for my Toshiba Satellite L505D - GS6000 to try and fix a problem with it since it turns on (Fan, LED Lights) but won't boot up (like go to desktop/log into a user) it just displays a black screen

It did work earlier today but it overheated and crashed whilst playing a game on Steam and I haven't been able to figure out how to turn it on again

Well since overheating can cause damage - maybe it caused a crucial component to die.

If the hard drive light is flashing (accessing hard drive) when you turn it on, it would be interesting to hook up an external monitor to see if the laptop display is bad.

If the hard drive is not being accessed, you might have a bad motherboard.

Hard drive might be ok, as you should at least see a BIOS screen, even with no hard drive.
