Already tried the anime, I found it kind of boring and too SoL. The romance seemed like somewhat of a side plot, but I can see why people like it a lot.

I'm pretty sure that's chinese brah, probably traditional but I can't tell for sure since I don't really know much chinese besides the hanzi that's shared with japanese kanji.
The first one is 日本懷念金曲 and with google translate's help I can deduce it's "Yearned hits from Japan", with 懷念 being "yearned" or "missed" and 金曲 "hits".
I couldn't read the second one.

My computer shut off and when it turned itself back on, it had the message:
"Reboot and Select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key"
I've tried restarting it, however it resulted in no changes. I attempted to reinstall windows, only to find out it is only seeing my HDD instead of both my HDD and SDD. My SDD is the location of Windows.
I opened up my computer and tried to switch the SATA cables of my HDD and SDD, but that simply made neither seen. I tried to go into my BIOS and fix it, but I don't know what I must change.

Help?

Check out the boot priority in the bios to make sure your OS drive is present.
>>
your ssd might be dead. put the ssd in another computer. if it doesn't show at all it's most likely fucked.
>>
Alright the SSD is dead. Went out and bought a SATA cable from BB but to no avail. Tried it on another computer too.

I've decided to install windows on my HDD however I've run into another problem.
I need to reformat my HDD from GPT to another type compatible with windows.
How do I do that?

Would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this, been messing with my head for the last two hours

What are you actually trying to do?

This is not Python, this is BASIC written in Python.

Plus your comments just repeat what the code is saying.
>>
>>81442
Oh didn't realise, I'm a beginner. Trying to figure out how to turn this infinite piece of code into a for loop, part of a project relating to tracing the paths of laser rays
>>
>>81446
Okay, there's so many WTFs here I don't really know where to begin, but:

- why is the array two-dimensional?
- why are you using strings to represent integers?
- why are you using an array of strintegers when in python arrays can contain functions?
- Why are the strintegers called ONE, TWO, etc. when they're cleary referencing functions that actually do something?
- how are you using lambda calculus when you don't know the above?

I'll stop there.

If I had to de-WTF that code, first thing I'd do is turn the strintegers into functions. Then I'd have a good long think about what the control flow is actually supposed to be doing, because at the moment it looks like something from the obfuscated C contest.

Maybe go have a read up on functional programming in Python, because it looks like that's what you're trying to do, but you're using a for loop instead of applying a function to an iterator and letting the runtime parallelise everything for you.

Any python programmers out there wanna take a look at my code and see why it isn't working

def vo2max_resting(age, resting_pulse):
""" takes age in years and resting pulse in beats per minute"""
return 15.3 * (208 - 0.7 * age) / resting_pulse
def vo2max_step_3min(gender, pulse):
"""returns pulse according to the 3 minute step test"""
if gender is "m":
return 111.33 - (0.42 * pulse)

elif gender is "f":
return 65.81 - (0.1847 * pulse)

else:
return -1
"""program that returns vo2max after input from users"""
def main():
"""returns vo2max after user input"""
name_string = input("Enter given name: ")
name = str(name_string.capitalize())

family_name_string = input("Enter family name: ")
family_name = str(family_name_string.upper())

gender_string = input("Enter gender (m/f): ")
gender = str(gender_string)

age_string = input("Enter age (in years): ")
age = int(age_string)

resting_string = input("Enter resting heart rate (bpm): ")
resting = int(resting_string)

step_test_string = input("Enter pulse after 3min step test: ")
step_test = int(step_test_string)

if gender is "m":
print("----------------------------------------")
print("Results for: " + family_name + "," + " " + name)
print('vo2max from resting pulse =')

main()

test_age = 29
test_pulse = 100
result = vo2max_resting(test_age, test_pulse)
print('{:.2f}'.format(result))

Python's syntax relies heavily on its indentation. If you're getting any errors from the code you just posted, fix the indentation because It ran just fine for me after manually indenting it.
>>
>>81416
Seems to be working fine here after I finished writing your main(). I added a few comments for you.
http://pastie.org/private/2qh8ic8x2pwrjsf4q8dw

Next time use pastebin or pastie like I did above so we can get the correct indentation. Also, next time post any error messages or describe what you mean by "isn't working." If you meant that the program isn't giving the correct result, I'd guess your formulas are wrong, because the code itself seems fine.

I put in my new msi GTX graphics card, connect the monitor, connect the power source, turn it on, and I'm met with what you see in this video. No display, despite power clearly being delivered to the card. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Furthermore, what's up with the boot-up's two beeps, pause, and then two beeps? When I looked up all the codes for boot-up beeps I didn't find anything matching that pattern.

Obviously, but what kind of white?

I'm looking for a movie that probably came out in the mid to late 90s.

I don't remember much about the movie aside from the the fact that fairly early on in the movie some henchman comes after the main character (nice looking chick) while she was getting ready for bed/getting up in the morning, or getting ready to shower or something like that.

she spends the majority of the rest of the movie (to my memory, perhaps it was just an extended scene) running around in her panties as she had just taken off her pants/ was about to put them on when attacked.

anyone know the movie that I saw? it was not a huge hit it was one of those "hmmm looks kinda interesting" at the video store not "oh everyone's talking about this movie"

help please

What? Why do you refer to yourself as he? You know that anyone can see the number of IPs in the thread, right? There are only 2, one being me and the other is OP. That means also your second post was made by the same person.
You can't samefag on a board like /wsr/. You don't even know how to quote!
Maybe you should try >>>/b/. They're usually nice people, just be sure to tell them that you are new and need help to understand how things work around here, ok? I did the same thing in the past and it worked fairly well, just make a thread there and try to be kind to them. They can even help you with your picture I bet. Good luck!

What's the best public site to download movies? One with a reasonably large selection of stuff, including foreign and high-quality releases, ideally. Like, there's TPB but it can be iffy, I'm wondering if there's something more dedicated, like Rutracker for music or BakaBT for anime. Some kinda movie-equivalent.
5 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Alternatively: private trackers which are not too difficult to get into.
>>
rutracker is excellent for films
>>
>>81424
My specific concern with rutracker is I'm into Russian movies, which don't come with subtitles there for obvious reasons. Maybe is there a place to just get sub files?
