Never get why people ask for this since if you really wanted to post it is simple to get round it so a ban is no different than a self imposed block or blocking the site in your hosts (is actually more effective).

I really liked most animes I've watched, but I really don't know or like any of the ones I've tried that were made post 2010.
To give you some idea of my taste, the only two I've liked that were what I'd consider recent were Shin Sekai Yori and Zankyo no Terror.
I hate shit like Attack on Titan or Claymore where there are 20 minute fights with dumb pauses where the combatants or onlookers painstakingly explain what's happening and how cool every move/power is, so please - none of those.

The best sellers are not that good for finding recommendations. For one, you will miss a lot of good anime, for example Shin Sekai Yori sold horribly, and secondly, not all the top sellers are even that good. Most of them have some enjoyable qualities, but not all of them deserve to be mentioned among the best. For example Free, it's okay, but kinda generic and only sold well because of the shipping and fanservice. Infinite Stratos is one of the best selling anime of all time, but it's just a generic battle harem with bad characters (but the action scenes are nice).
My friend has this motherboard in a build and when he tries to boot it up the screen is just black, no bios no splash screen nothing. He's tried two different video cards, he's tried swapping out the ram, to no avail. Would flashing the BIOS possibly help? He says he has to reboot 30 times before it shows anything on screen (which has been getting worse over time) It's not a monitor issue as he's tried multiple monitors.

There were some attempts to create anime generals here, and I really enjoyed them. Some of them helped making a recommendation chart too, and it was nice to keep a tab open and get all the anime discussion rather than being forced to look for threads. I support the idea of an anime general.
