I'm looking to start animating. Where do I start? What do I use to learn? I have a light box and Wacom tablet lying around, so materials shouldn't be a problem.
Just want to clarify. I know there are tons of webpages answering this question. The problem is, I don't know where to start. With such a plethora of resources, it'd be hard to filter through all the shit and just get some advice.

That's not the issue, /wsr/ is a slow board. So few anons here helping, I can recognize a couple simply by their posting style.
Is there a well-known torrent for English-subbed Japanese-spoken Pokémon episodes? The old ones: Indigo League, Orange, Johto, Advance...
All I can find is an overabundance of English dubs and a few Japanese originals torrents, with subtitles nowhere to be found

Oh my god, I've just tried watching the English dub of 002 after watching the English-subbed Japanese 001. It's terrible. It feels so wrong. It's so unnatural.

Is there a good website that explains the symbolism/hidden meanings in the Monogatari series?
I would like to rewatch it soon and catch the stuff I missed on the first watch but was wondering what the best resource is that goes into the nuances and subtleties (preferably by episode).
I can explain it to you if you want. The truth is there is no symbolism or hidden meaning in Monogatari. It's a very shallow show where the characters literally explain everything to you. Some episodes are nothing but characters elaborating on a topic until there's nothing left to consider.
The visuals are there for spice. How do you animate a story that is mostly talking? There's not much to animate most of the time. So Shaft takes liberties with the dialogue and monologue scenes and throws in some interesting visuals so there's something to look...

Those symbols are mostly shows where they are, places. Like traffic signs in a city. Shaft express background in this way.

I don't have the specific gif, but the game he was playing is called "Spookys jumpscare mansion" but I think it used to be called Spookys house of jumpscares".

So I don't know shit about processor speed, so do you guys know what speed should be enough for the things I want to do?
I want to install Linux on my new pc, be able to learn programming on it (and have multiple programs running at the same time), and play games of about the size of League of Legends and Hearthstone.
Does RAM memory also matter for what I'm trying to do? Should I try to look into that?

Just go by the system requirements of the games you want to play. The OS will definitely not be the bottleneck, especially not if you're going with Linux. Make sure those games even run on Linux or Wine.
Yes, both CPU and RAM will matter, although RAM is usually comparatively cheap.

Stay windows m8, it's very complicated to run wine and stuff. Just get a better PC or upgrade it.
Also some Processors and graphics cards don't play nice with Linux.
Linux based OS are only for those that worry about privacy and security.
