Try a blow dryer? Also, get a wax melter that plugs into the wall like a night light. Got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and no messes so far. You could even cut pieces of wax out of your favorite candles and put those in it.

I have no idea what you mean by "ecchi/ Harem/ visual novel style characters" considering visual novels have tons of differing styles and I don't watch ecchi or harems.
But Steins gate, monogatari, Accel World are probably what you're looking for.
I want to recommend Rakugo and Macross, even if macross can be pretty goofy at times but I'm pretty sure you're looking for anime with multiple girls and not just one or two.

Bitstrips don't exist anymore. You can't make a character, save the character, then pose that character in a variety of ways to make comics. The company that owns it shut the damn thing down and replaced it with a new app called Bitmojis. Now, you can design your character, save it, and.. put it into a bunch of pre-created images instead of making your own, which defeats the freaking purpose.
Is there an archive of the original Bitstrips anywhere? If not, is there an alternative?

There is a memory that recently popped up that is driving me nuts.
Basically, sometime 10-15 years ago I saw some animated film. I cannot remember anything about this film except for two things.
One: About half-way/two-thirds of the way through the film some slimy con-man tricks the protagonist into entering what is pretty much a giant water wheel. He immediately locks her in and it is then revealed that he is keeping a bunch of people prisoner so that they rotate the wheel and power something. The protagonist and the other prisoners end up escaping by rotating...
