I don't expect it in gen 7, but if by gen 8 Gamefreak hasn't incorporated the following into the main Pokemon series, I am officially done with the franchise as a whole.
1. Ability to create custom Pokemon
2. Ability to date/fuck Pokemon
3. Massive difficulty increase for main game
I don't think it's too much to ask that GF starts paying fucking attention to their core demographic - players who have been with the series from the beginning and have mature interests - rather than catering to little kids who have no investment whatsoever in the franchise. If GF thinks kids deserve games targeted at them, they have lost the plot. People like me have been carrying this franchise along, buying every possible Pokemon related item and game for nearly 20 years now. It's about FUCKING time we were rewarded.

So with the 20th aniversery of pokemon release; I got really excited and bought pokemon yellow. I replayed it ten times and then busted out my old copy of crystal and red and played that like 10 times too. Anyway I was so excited about pokemon again that I bought ORAS and X and tried playing those games but I just cant bring myself to care. Why are these games such shit compred to the first two games? I even got diamond and Black from my niece and I just cant stand the game. What happened?

Collecting > Adventure > Battle System > Battle Facilities = Side Content > Competitive > Story

Most likely Kalos since we already have Zygarde forms and not to mention there's still one forgotten puzzle piece on the table: Eternal Floette with its move Light Of Ruin. Not to mention Ash Greninja might mean we're getting Kalos starters again (just that it wont be named ASH-) and there's plenty of other unfinished things in Kalos

Yeah, with 3D you could do some fanservicey things with that. Like exchanging dramatic dialog between trainers besides the trainer themselves.
I don't expect GameFreak to even consider the PWT part, however. Rendering all those trainers. They can't sell remakes if they do.
I DO however expect costumes in customization.

I dont think thats the problem. The remakes offer much more than just new models afterall. PWT is all about short battles without any story really
It is probably going to be much more subtle stuff. We know that the Alola region is made up of 4 islands. One being Melemele island which is Yellow in Hawaiian. It is possible that the other three islands will be named Ula, Polu, Omaomao. Red, Blue, and Green respectively.
They already have two land marks based after Pearl Harbor, and Diamond Head mountain.
