Be honest, do you prefer Origins/ORAS/BW2/ specials over the main anime?
The ORAS and BW2 specials are still like the anime, just... without Ash.
I prefer Origins to the anime though.

hidden power is balanced
theres only one or two usable ones for each pokemon, and half the time the low BP means a STAB attack will do more than a super effective HP. So basically it has no use outside of 4x weaknesses.
Most fighting types have a broader range of types in their movepool.
Imagine Gen 7 pulls a Gen 3 on us and you can't transfer any Pokemon from the previous generations on to your game.
Gamefreak's official excuse is that they're rebooting the series in order to create a balanced game. And in order to do this, they'll mess with the movepool, stats and abilities of every Pokemon.
How would you react? Would you be furious at the thought of not being able to transfer your bros over? Would you not care because you'd probably be able to inject them in anyway? Would you like the promise of a semi-balanced meta?
I wouldn't care because I usually don't transfer anything but events.
As long as I can complete my pokédex in the current gen, I'm good. A fresh start is always the best.

Still my second favorite, yes.
I never liked transferring my mons up, especially since I still play the older games.
Maybe if I knew beforehand the my battery would die out, I would've been more concerned, but what's done is done.
ITT: suggest ideas for the next gen games to make the use of exp share viable
Make it the exp all and make the exp share a held item like it used to be.
A) actually balance the fucking game around it
B) give me the regular old exp share before beating the game and the new one after

How to progress in PTCGO, tl;dr edition:
>complete all Trainer Challenges
>unlock all locked cards in the three theme decks you're given at the start
>farm Versus Mode theme ladder for Tokens and Tournament Tickets
>enter theme tournaments with tickets and earn tradeable packs and tournament chests (XY Basic Blue strongly recommended)

>use the Trade section to trade the packs and chests for the shit you need

Your physical cards probably aren't worth shit, but check sites like Trollandtoad, eBay and TCGplayer for the shinier ones to see if you can make a decent 5-10 bucks off them before you ask in the thread. We don't have the prices memorized for every single card.
To see what your PTCGO stuff is worth, look on the PTCGO forums in the trading section. For example, Top Cut Trading inc

Pack codes are worth about 15-30 cents while other codes are worth around a dollar or two.
Remember that if you're doing a TCGO code dump, post them as images and block off the QR codes. This prevents scumbags from scooping up the entire lot with client's QR reader or, in the case of typed codes, copypasting all of them onto the redemption page for themselves. DO NOT put text codes in a pastebin and remove the last character from them just because it's easier for you if you're dumping codes, scumbags have access to scripts that can easily find the missing letter/number.

I never use fire, fighting and flying are way better. I only use water for surf also.
I usually find myself using Fire,Water, and Grass..I've been doing it for the longest.
I rarely use grass, pretty worthless typing.
