Private habits thread!
Given that a huge chunk of Pokemon is solo gaming, I know a lot of us come up with some weird little rituals or habits we got into doing because no one was watching. Whether or not you believe they give you luck, some of them we just do because they feel right, and/or we've been doing them since we were kids.
Pic related, it's the most common one I've heard of - but not the only one. Here are a couple of mine:
>Always go indoors before saving, because fuck if I'm sleeping outside
>Step away from the PC after using it if I need to use the start menu, because I wasn't born in a barn and I don't like blocking public access
>Never nickname proper legendaries because if there's only one then its species name feels more like its real name and it feels cheap to change it to George or whatever
I never save with my character facing diagonally cause I think it'll corrupt my game or something

I thought I was the only one who saved twice every single time. Whew.
The only other one I can think of is that I always close my eyes when I throw a Pokeball and open them when something happens.
Instead of creampuffs, they should make fairy types out of mythical creatures.
Some ideas:
>fairy/fighting satyr/fawn
>fairy/poison chimera
>fairy/steel minotaur
>fairy/flying pegasus or griffin
>fairy/dark werewolf
>fairy/bug pixie
The type has a lot of potential, but it's being wasted. The name is fine, but it would be better off being used as a sort of catch-all type for mythical or fantastical creature based pokemon.

Everyone knows a werewolf would be dark/Fighting and a minotaur would be ground/Fighting.
I get what you mean by making fairy more diverse but to have it as "anything mythical = fairy" doesn't work concept wise.

Kekhonestly there's nothing wrong with fairy being a somewhat more feminine type tho as it's part of their nature to be ethereal and endearing, however game freak has given no solid direction to the type similar to dragon so who cares it's open to interpretation and people needs to stop being autistic about it

Share close personal memories related to Pokemon. A lot of us grew up with Pokemon, so it'd make sense that it may have defined a large chunk of someone's youth.
The other day I started a new save file in r/s. The intro music started and I was reminded of what was probably the best few years of my childhood.

We spent the entirety of the year drawing our Ruby/Sapphire teams and building little gyms out of cardboard and making our own Pokemon board games etc. We would meet at a secret spot during school break and try to find each others secret bases. It was great.
At first we got made fun of by the assholes that used to be my friends, but at that point I didnt give a shit because I had a girlfriend and none of them did. From them on I was way more confident on wearing my interests on my sleeve, regardless of what other people might think.
Those were the best god damn years of my childhood. Its the reason why R/S is my personal favorite of all the gens.

Steelix is just a giant earthworm, I have always thought it would make sense for it to get recover because of their regenerative abilities
Magnet pull is nearly useless this gen, why does everyone wants steelix to have it

What do you want to see in a 7th generation? Whether it's new Pokemon, features, or story elements.
My personal wishlist -
- Ankylosaurus and Raptor fossil mons.
- Dolphin mon (why haven't we had this yet?)
- Mega's for Gen 2 and 4 starters
- Mega Milotic
- Even greater expanded character customization then X/Y.
- A Dark Type gym leader (because why the fuck haven't we had this yet).
- R-Rated
- Games comes out every two years, each being the immediate “third version” and remake OR the other version with new region so there will be no more pairing of the same region — as it leads to incomplete storyline.
- Event Pokémon will be distributed equally to the world with Wi-Fi — goodbye to discrimination
A lot of side stories to halt your journey, making it feel like a real adventure, not ones you can complete in one-two days.

This is the reason why I think people who ask for pokemon to directly move into gen 7 are only doing it to find a way to shit on gen 6.
What happened to the Pokemon who were uploaded to the GTS when the DS servers were taken down? Did Gamefreak save them all in a giant box?
