I can't believe the writers put bait in the show.
When will they add a mechanic that lets the player make story-impacting decisions in the playtrough, as they did with several years other games like BO2 or Mass Effect? Do you think that would be a good idea?

Not every game needs a system for branching storylines. The draw for Pokemon games are the monsters and the combat, so all it needs is an accompanying plot and region.
I stopped played pokemon back when Emerald, because after that I got a psp and then stopped playing videogames for a few years. This thread is for discussion of the DS games. I want to get into it but don't know which are the best. Was thinking of playing SoulSilver first, what say you? Also did you guys ever finished that pokemon game you guys were making?

Soul Silver is awesome, you can't go wrong starting back with that then moving onto Platinum, then BW/BW2 (the same region, but with a couple different gyms. Play both if you want the full story. I personally think you can skip BW and be fine).

What if you don't know what the pseudo-legendary is? I played through X/Y almost entirely blind and had no idea that Goomy was the pseudo-legend when I added it to my team.

The voice recognition simply didn't work. It's failure was predicated purely on hardware failure preventing people from playing the game happily at all.
