Has seeing another game ever made you retroactively hate a game that you previously loved? I was just shown this footage from that Monster Hunter spinoff RPG, and the massive visual superiority it has over Pokemon is nothing short of astounding.

Seriously, just watch the Rathalos bossfight. Does anything in X/Y or ORAS even come close to that amount of personality and detail to their movements? I've defended X/Y for years because I truly thought that was the best that Gamefreak could do with the hardware, and I genuinely enjoyed my adventure through Kalos, but this has opened my eyes. Anyone else hope Gamefreak can learn a thing or two from Capcom for gen7?

I like that CAP went from "this is a strong bug/ice mon" to "this is a great scout" to "this mon was designed to btfo literally everything" to "we should make smeargle but with better stats, better typing, and a better ability" and so on

Ugh, 4/10. At least you chose well with Glaceon, Noivern, and Tryrantrum. But Lucario, Aegislash, Talonflame, Scizor, and Metagross bring the list down quite a bit. This is about favorite Pokemon, not ones that you can win with in OU.

You have some decent favorites in there, but also truly shitty choices. And the fact that you have three favorite legendaries makes this a little dubious. As for your least favorites, I don't see how you can hate Glaceon, Sableye, Sylveon, and Seviper, but like shit like Skutank, Zangoose, and Granbull. 2/10.

As Ariana and Proton made their way through the castle, Archer and Petrel went around the garden. Like they expected the interior of the castle to be, they found the garden, or rather, what remained of it, to be in a sorry state. Where once beautiful rosebushes and lush green trees grew, there now remained only the burnt soil and twisting, dead husks. The summer air was warm, and it whistled as it blew through the dry, naked branches. The sounds of wind, and the nearby trickle of water from the stream that flowed into the garden pond, were the only noises to be heard.

The stream cut across the footpath, and the only means of crossing was a narrow stone bridge which lead to the pagoda that sat in the middle of the pond. Never minding if his partner followed him or not, Archer made the walk across the bridge to admire the stonework of the pagoda.
Moss grew on the wet stone, creeping up the pillars from the floor. A cracked and abandoned bench sat in the middle, encircled by the stonework columns and railings. The bluenette stood, silent, in awe of the majesty that still remained in this largely unblemished structure.
"Quite a sight, isn't it?" he asked his companion. "Makes you wonder just how beautiful the rest of this places looked back in the day."
"It's pretty nice", said Petrel, looking at the building from a farther distance than his partner. "Just imagine the fortune that it must've cost to build it". Saying this reminded him of what the treasure could be. If they had the money to build this castle, just think of how much money that treasure be.
And that brought another question - If the treasure is worth so much, it will be very hard to find it. And while the pagoda seemed like it had better days, the fact it took the burden of time a bit better than the rest of the castle made him think there could be something inside.
"You think there's something in there?", he asked Archer, as he lit up a cigar. "It seems like a place I would hide something".
So i know most of the "games" that this board made like the south american and australian one never go far and crash and burn. But how about one based off a sort of Land of the Lost scenario, you end up on a continent where pokemon never evolved into their modern day counterparts, pokemon would be dinosaurs and prehistoric animals and some would be the ancestors of modern pokemon. Civilization would be small outposts and towns set up for scientific research (provide you with pokeballs and medical supplies) that lie on the coasts, as you go deeper in you get farther from civilization you come across native tribes who are still wary of outsiders they have a prehistoric version of pokeballs and the gym leaders would be chiefs or champions of the village.

But I'm all for making prehistoric pokedex. But does it have to actually be a game? Can't we just have fun making the region and pokemon and map without needing it to be functioning game? Because that's why people usually abandon these projects.

We could always make a less traditional game. It doesn't have to be "Get 8 badges and beat E4"
It all seems way too convenient that even ancient tribes had pokemon gyms. How about we make just 3 or 4 towns and some dungeons? Maybe an overarching plot about an Aerodactyl or something stealing cattle.

ToTT:Have you ever fallen in love with a pokemon and had you heart broken during a nuzlock?
Never actually completed a nuzlocke before. Will try and make Bullshit Platinum my first.
Everyone I've known and loved has died a tragic, brutal death.
Everytime I try to nuzlocke X/Y I get bored and end up dropping it eventually. There aren't any good romhacks for Gen 6 either unfortunately. Apparently everyone is focused on hacking ORAS instead.
I never played Gen 5 and I never finished a Gen 4 game though, since I got back into Pokemon with Gen 6, so maybe one of these days I'll do a Gen 4/5 run and try to finish those games.
