How does *THE META* change?
weavile drops to PU
There are no more ice types in OU. Weavile is dead, Kyurem B has no STAB whatsoever.
Knock Off would see a decrease in usage.
Landorus ends up being better, and Nidoking gets an increase in usage.
Foul Play becomes interesting.
Mega Mawile moves down to UU (because it loses out on physical fairy STAB as Fairy would be special seeing that all but one of it's moves is special)( and has to rely on Iron Head for STAB

Would it be theoretically possible to trade a Pokemon from Red Version through the Time Capsule and have it come out as a shiny in Crystal Version? Or are they always non shiny?
Yes. Shiny-nes was based on IVs in gen ii

Shiny Pokémon are determined by IVs in Gen 2 specifically so Gen 1 Pokémon can have a chance to be shiny.
Gen 2 code is kind of messy as a whole to keep Gen 1 compatibility. Pretty much everything is based on IVs so they wouldn't have to add new data values (they did make happiness its own stat but it resets anyway when you trade it so it's not affected any worse by trading to Gen 1), which is why they completely redid everything in Gen 3.

I have a feeling that Sceptile was only included as a playable character in Pokken Tournament to complete the Hoenn starter trio along with Swampert's future reveal. Compared to the other Pokémon on the roster, Sceptile isn't that popular and it doesn't seem like he got in on his own merits. Then again, it seems weird that Bamco would give special treatment to the Gen 3 starters when Gen 1 is more popular...

so the last thread got some steam but kind of fizzled out I still think this can be salvaged if people start doing dome designs
what we determined
1. the continent is isolated unchanged after millions of years and ancient pokemon still exist
2. pokemon are based off prehistoric animals, plants and dinosaurs and ancient civilizations
3 Water starter appears to be baryonx to spinosaur line, Fire is pteradactyl to quetzalcoatlus line, plant is velciraptor to utahraptor or deinonychus
3. continent is based off pangea, side islands are based off jurrassic park islands
4. there are 165 base pokemon with a side pool of pokemon that were good but didn't make the cut and could be added later
5. towns are research centers and ancient tribes of people
6. prehistoric pokemon from other games can be in the game but have their rock type removed since they gain it from fossilization process unless they were rock type to begin with.
7. this isn't a full game more like a dex and map and character designs with stats and new moves
