This is an Okapi. I'm going to teach you what an Okapi is, /vp/, because it should be a Pokémon.

why is it what it is
Here's the rundown on what okapis are:
>They look like a mix between a horse, zebra and deer, but are closely related to none of them. It is the closest living relative to giraffes.
>They live deep in the mountain-forests of central Africa, where they forage over a hundred different types of plants, many of which are poisonous to many animals.
>They are notoriously solitary and elusive, and were not even discovered by the western world until 1901. They are shy and have great camoflauge.
>Their tongues are freakily long. They groom themselves with them and use them to grab leaves. They're prehensile.
>Their coats are like velvet and repel water, due to living in dense rainforests.
>They're larger than they look. Okapis can get over 5ft tall at the shoulders.
>They are the closest thing to a real-life unicorn you will ever see.
Their fur is dark red, so I feel like they might be Fire types. I am not someone who has been clamoring for this type combo at all, but I feel they'd probably be Grass/Fire.
Overall okapis are inherently weird and interesting creatures and I think they should be a Pokémon, much in the same vein as Girafarig. Maybe a distant ancestor.

Oh dear, I can't even begin, and if I try, I'm sure something will go inconsistent down the line. Eh, fuck it. I just want to live peacefully with my pokemon FRIENDS. As long as I can do that, I don't care what anyone else does.
The smarter pokemon, like Alakazam and Metagross, would constantly be working with scientists toward human kinds health and well being. Most diseases wouldnt exist.
Food alternatives would exist.
The left and right wing Pokemedia would be covering Pokemon attacks and legality of actually being able to capture super dangerous pokemon like Garchomp. Every time a pokemon attacked someone and was put down would be a mass media covered scandal story.
The beach wouldnt be fun.
No one would actually capture legendaries, theyd most likely die trying tho.

Say what you want about X/Y, but it had the best distrubution of Pokemon of any game.
I actually like what Gen 5 did, 150 new pokemon, previous gen pokemon not catch-able till post game
Why would you want old pokemon? My whole team was all gen 6 except Blastoise and I only used him because you get his mega stone straight away.
