Which animal of the Chinese mosaic will the next Fire starter be?
Ferret which is basically a snake.
Fire Horse for maximum mad.
Fire/Fighting Ox.
There will be a trailer coming soon for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon, which I have seen. It's a worldwide reveal similar to X and Y.
The trailer shows glimpses of the new region, and seems to highlight the stark contrast between rural, naturistic areas and the big, modern cities. There are some shots of the protagonist (male and female, clothes seem 'summery' which suits the tropical vibe) running through various locations. For example, a village with wooden cabins (surrounded by trees). A cool wide-angle shot on the rim of a firey volcano. And a generic city area.
There is a scene showing the protagonist gripping a Seaking's horn as he rides up a waterfall, though I'm not sure if that's an overworld thing, or just part of a Gym puzzle.
There is an exchange between two people that the protagonist watches - one is what I'd describe as a green-clothes version of Grant with braided hair. Very hippy-like. The other is a man in a black suit, like a business magnate. Hippy Grant is arguing about building construction destroying the habitats/landscape or something to that effect.
The starters are revealed! The first one is... strange. It's a green bird, but its wings are tiny and it looks flightless. It has an owl-y face and chunky feet. Grass-type. The second one is a red squirrel, Fire-type obviously. It seems to have a wisp of smoke trailing from its bushy tail. The last one is a bluey-grey coloured elephant calf, the Water-type. It squirts water from its nose in the picture.
(I didn't remember the names except the squirrel, it's something like Emberrel. The grass one began with Ka_____ )
At the end of the trailer, the sun and moon are shown in-game and there's a millisecond of (presumably legendary pokemon) eyes flashing open before the game logos appear and end the trailer.

I bought ORAS and I'm having a ton of fun. Haven't played since HGSS. Why did /vp/ lie to me and say it was shit?
Because veepee is a bunch of bitter autistic manchildren that hate fun and rather complain their asses off about a perfectly fun game.
The game could've been more, yes, but for what you get from a typical Pokémon game, I'd say it's pretty average and entertaining nonetheless.
People expected a masterpiece. A lot of the people on here were too young to take the games seriously before RS/E, so Hoenn was the first region where most of us got into competitive battling, or tried to catch them all, or tried to beat the post-game facilities. Lots of people hate the region, which is understandable, but most people have a special place in their heart for the games just because it was the first game they really dug into.
So, when the remakes came along, they expected a lot. The people who still loved RS/E were hoping for more of those good, nostalgic vibes. Those who hated them wanted a better version given to us.
Neither group really got what they wanted. The game was okay. Not amazing, not the worst thing ever. But people expected a masterpiece. The anger is more about disappointment than anything else.
But, to summarize: yeah, they're okay games. Have fun, anon.
Yeah it's really not that bad. Just beat in January and I had a lot of fun. I haven't really touched it since the Delta Episode though, I can't find the energy to catch the rest of the pokemon and legendaries, and to train my team for the elite four rematch.

Hey /vp/, an update on my project (haven't posted about it in ages)
Quick disclaimer:
Couple years ago I thought 'I wonder how would I fare if Pokemon were real. Traveling around the world and finding elusive animals is probably hard'.
So I decided that I would do just that - armed with a camera, I'll go out and try to 'capture' animals. A shitty 'proof' photo would be marked as 'Seen', a photo that I'd like would be marked as 'Captured'. Only a wild animal would count, so no pets, no zoo.
I constructed a list of 151 animals. They range from as common as pigeon to as elusive as coelacanth. From as majestic as blue whale to as dangerous as indian cobra. And anything in between:

How to progress in PTCGO, tl;dr edition:
