You guys are missing the economic picture. Film franchises exist to shill the branded products throug a nation stage. Action figures posters etc.

In Pokemon's case, their primary product is the core series games. There is no way Nintendo would have a high profile. major mation picture that isnt serving to sell there primary product. Now, unless Ninendo is going to do a second round of g1 remakes for around 2020 or so(which, although unlikely is possible)...

How can anyone say that Gen 5 had the best Pokémon when most of them were just shameless ripoffs of earlier Pokémon?
