Edgy: The Pokémon
Yesterday was the alien Beheeyem line, today will be about the possessed fire ornaments Litwick, Lampent, and Chandelure.
My thoughts: Say hello to what is arguably Gen 5's most iconic non-legend Pokemon. Atleast according to Japan where it scored no. 1 on their top 100 favorite Gen 5 Pokes back then. Hey it's still so popular that it got a spot in Pokkén as a playable.
It's no surprise that Chandelure is popular, with its awesome design and stats. Unfortunately there are still a few out their that scorn this kickass ghost chandelier with
>m-muh item based Pokemon is uncreative.
Okay, two things in the defense of this line:
1. Even for an item based Pokemon, the Chandelure line has got to have one of the most aesthetically gorgeous designs of them all.
>Cool gothic/Halloween motif
>Purple flames represent the Ghost and Fire type equally well.
>Cute faces that nearly anyone would be hard pressed to hate.
2. One of the best excuses for the existence of item based Pokemon is that they are possessed by spirits/ghosts or other supernatural creatures, and this ties into the concept behind these Pokemon. From Bulbapedia:
>Chandelure is based on a hitodama (a blue, black, or purple-fire associated with ghosts and yōkai, equivalent to the western will-o'-the-wisp)
So yeah, flame ghost possessing a household item gives it life. It's so much more than "shaping a face on an inanimate object".
Overall, one of the best Ghost types in the franchise. Great design and great use in competitive.

Do you think Pokemon Sun and Moon will be the new Johto as Kalos was to Kanto?
When Gold and Silver were released, one of the biggest surprises was the ability to travel back to Kanto.
Do you think theres a possibility the new games will include this ability, since many kalos questions have been left unanswered? It could shed more light on the history of the war and provide an opportunity to flesh out zygarde more appropriately. It could be the reason why the made an extension because it may have more content.

So the word ASHIMARI can be taken two ways, one meaning seal and ball, the other meaning foot and squid, which do you think?
Squid
Water starters have always been the most diverse (2 reptiles, 1 bird, 1 mammal, 1 amphibian, 1 fish/amphibian) so it makes sense it'd be the first to include an invertebrate.
For the record I think it's gonna be seal, the squid idea.comes from the mari in calamari, which is a food. It'd be like a bull pokemon having beef in its name, it's just weird

The start of XY was the first time the world could random play. Japs had their own meta, which was based on reacting to your opponent, where Western meta is based on predicting.
For the first while, Western players were crushing Japs because predicting > reacting.
So to bridge the gap, the Japs just all started going to smogon tops and whatever bullshit would help them win, like time stalling
This is an explanation, not an excuse. They're worthless shits, and generally bad players besides.

So we all agree SM is gen 6 now right? Why would they waste a perfectly good opportunity to distribute Thousand Arrows and Waves instead of leaving them unused like gen 7 fags keep suggesting? They're already implemented in gen 6. So they will be used in gen 6.
They don't have to implement them at all. They could just add them to its move set next gen for all we know. Just wait and see if it uses them in the movie.

Kinesis was programmed on RGB but no Pokémon could learn it, even then it could be selected by Metronome. On Pokémon Yellow they made Kadabra and Alakazam to learn it.
On RS two moves (Icicle Spear and Volt Tackle) were programmed, but like Kinesis on Gen I, no Pokémon could learn it. Comes FRLG and Shellder can learn Icicle Spear, and since it has been its signature move. Comes E and they made Pichu learn the move by breeding through a complicated method (Put two Pikachu or Raichu on the Day-Care and make sure that the male one is holding the Light Orb)
Like Gen I and Gen III two moves (Freeze Shock and Ice Burn) were programmed on BW but no Pokémon could learn it. Comes B2/W2 and they made them Kyurem to learn it by Absofusion with either Zekrom or Reshiram with Kyurem knowing Glaciate.
On XY two more moves (Thousand Arrows and Thousand Waves) were programmed and no Pokémon can learn it. Comes February 2016 and Gen VII confirmed by revealing SM and these two moves weren't available yet.

To be honest those statues doesn't make sense at all. Reshiram and Zekrom has barely even existed at all, considering they split during a civil war and went into slumber at the end of it and only woke up again in BW.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed this from the SM trailer but it's kind of disturbing.
