So everyone, Arcanine runs 6,200 miles in a day and night, therefore 6,200 divided by 24 is a maximum 258.33 miles per hour, divided by an Arcanine's max speed stat, 317 (at level 100, with a helpful nature) is .814931650893796, this is the equivolent of one pont in speed.
To find the speed that your pokemon runs (in miles per hour) multiply their speed stat by the previous number.

A friend of mine posed an interesting question the other day, and it got lots of people talking who usually don't show interest in Pokemon, so I figured I'd make a thread here and see what becomes of it.
He asked us what Pokemon we'd choose if Pokemon were in the real world, but here's the catch(es);
>1) no legendaries
>2) you only get two (2) Pokemon
and here's the big one
>3) Pokeballs do NOT exist
That last one means that we now live in a world where Pokemon run rampant, without a reliable way to tame them. Befriending them is pretty much the only option, besides more sinister means. Legendaries are totally out of the question.
But thankfully, you get to choose two (2) Pokemon who will remain faithful to you in this new and dangerous world. Choose wisely! If the thread gathers any interest, I'll post the choices my friends and I came up with.
Smeargle and Swampert.

Minun, Chimecho and Jirachi. Minun: it appears on AS with a rate of 5% on Route 110 AND only found on Plusle Hordes.
Chimecho: this is pretty obvious.
Jirachi: received one last month from Mystery Gift, is isn't required to have it to complete the Dex but is a must.

Haven't completed the National Dex yet (only completed Gen I-III) but I would say Persian: it is found on a single Mirage Island (at the north of Route 124), is impossible to get on X/Y meaning that it is the only way to get it on Gen VI, even with SpotPass the Mirage Island is pretty random, faggots on GTS requesting it for Mythical Legends, etc. Luckily I found it through Mirage Island and then caught other to trade it to people that really needed it.

According to Serebii it actually promised "an announcement the world has been waiting for" in May. The last time they said something like that we had the reveal of Magearna, and at that time they promised "an announcement that will shock the entire world", and it did just that because no one expected Gen 7 so early. So while it is best to keep expectations low with CoroCoro because they might not be the source of this announcement, it doesn't mean we shouldn't expect anything from CoroCoro. If we get this announcement before the issue drops then we know that the issue would contain a recap of that announcement.
