ITT: we talk about what anecdotes happened to us playing Pokémon GO.
In my neighbourhood, everyone plays this game, it's amazing, i don't care if normies play it everyone likes pokémon and it's pretty amazing to say the least. Also even guys that used to be bullies and laugh at poké fans play it and like the game too. We formed a gang of 5 yellow people and we conquered 1 gym, also we went to my uni and found 2 blue players conquering one. Later we found 2 yellow bros telling us where Bulbasaurs and Nidorans were found. It was pretty amazing.
Also we always see people camping gyms even if it's 3:00 AM late.

Nope, it's good, because they just care about the pokemons and not about our past. Also they seem pretty friendly now and we can all talk about pokemon without fear. Also a lot of friends i know were closet pokefans and now they're free.
I think one of the biggest things I enjoyed about gen1 was that it wasn't afraid to do edgy shit on occasion like with Team Rocket killing Marowaks mother.
Say what you will about the gameplay and some of the awful game mechanics. But the new ones just feel to "cutsey" about me. Back then it was just "going on an adventure"
But now the newer ones are like "GOING ON AN ADVENTURE! ^.^"
I miss when your rivals could be assholes and not constantly sucking the players dick the entire way through. Am I the only one who gets this vibe? it's like going from Evangelion to Luckystar or something.

I somewhat agree, but what about the Gen5 games that focus on a megalomaniac that mistreats his own (adoptive?) son just to become the most powerful person in the land
And Team Galactic literally bombed a few lakes, leaving lots of magikarps to flop about before they died
And there's even pokemon that are the ghosts of children lost in the forest, or carry the deathmask of their former human bodies wherever they float
I do wish they'd expand more on the cruel exploits like they did with marowak, but it's not like they've completely stopped doing things about cruelty
And even if Blue went "Smell ya later", and acted like he was better than you he was still a friend
the only non-friend rival we ever had was Silver

i feel like we need some kind of service where you can just scroll freely through the map and see gyms, maybe even pokestops aswell or spawnpoints of certain pokemon types. does anyone know if there is anyone working on something like this?
If Niantic keeps giving GO the Ingress treatment, they will release a world map in an official site eventually
honestly i feel like they shouldnt do an official map because it destroys that word of mouth kind of thing and going out and exploring. but on the other hand it will probably happen ether way, if they dont do it the fans will release something like that.
