How much is this card worth? How much would I be able to get for the original 151 Pokèmon cards if they are in decent condition?

We will get a Kanto revisit/remake in the next 5-7 years, mark my words. It may not be a popular opinion, and most of /vp/ won't want it (or will bitch it out but buy it anyway), but generation 6, Pokemon GO and the Virtual Console re-releases will have undeniably shown Nintendo and Game Freak the power of normies, genwunners and college kids who watched the anime as little babbies. Kanto in 3D is too lucrative of an idea for them to not pursue it.
It might be a 'reimagining' or a 'X years later' instead of a remake, or it might even be a Yellow-type deal where they mix the games with anime and TCG concepts to cash in on maximum nostalgia, but it will happen. Might as well brace yourselves for it early, lads

If it's a distant sequel with a reimagined Kanto (think BW2 Unova) with the new design influences and QoL changes we've been getting, I would actually be fine with it.Having Pi(ka)chu as a starter is also overdue, it's been a while

OP here, I feel completely the same way. A sequel that took place 17 years after GSC or something like that with significant changes would actually be kind of cool; I'd like to see how Kanto has changed in all of those years rather than a straight-up remake again.
Still, I'd rather no more Kanto for a while but the smart money says they're going to go back there sooner rather than later.

We can play all regions on the 3DS now so I'm not sure remakes will happen until the next handheld isn't backwards compatible with DS games (so yeah, probably 5-7 years).

I love the idea of the competitive scenery of Pokémon. But in the end, it's unbalanced and most teams end up being the same with gyro plants and microwaves/refrigerators. What is the fun in that if you are limited to ugly ass pokémon and can't use your favorites if you want to win?

I don't mind playing some competitive games, but to me pokemon was always a single player experience with battling/trading friends as gimmick. I'd rather choose my bros and have fun than obsess over numbers.

In all 16 movies, all of them feature a certain legendary(s) Pokemon, like Mewtwo in the first movie, Lugia with the 3 birds, Entei in the third, and so on. But there's one legendary Pokemon that has never made an appearance in any Pokemon movie (I'm not counting the intro scenes when they sometimes have legendaries in them), that Pokemon is Ho-oh. Ho-oh has been around since Gen II, and has made an appearance in the anime multiple times, but never in a movie where Ho-oh is the main focus legendary nor a supporting legendary (like Kyogre in Temple of the Sea). I know there is other legendaries that haven't made in a movie either, but this is Ho-oh, one of the main legendary Pokemon in Johto, not to mention it made the three legendary beasts (Raikou, Entei, and Suicune). So if there's any legendary Pokemon that deserves it's own movie, it's Ho-oh. Like I want to see back story behind it, such as how did Ho-oh created the three beasts. So I want to see it happen, even though it's almost impossible now. But one can dream. I hope I'm not alone on this.
