Other than follow the tutorial closely and, if you utilize the gunfire button in CQC you can charge up your sword for bigger damage, no.
It's only like a week old so I haven't found any skips yet but i'm top of the PS4 speedrun boards, haven't done any runs on PC yet, unfortunately. Most of the bosses can be knocked out of a move startup that you don't like (for boss 2, the strap, you can just swing at her to knock her out of a wavespawn or laser into bubbles if you need health).
It's a boss rush game so it's all bosses, just be ready for that.

You have to beat the "story" to get access to speedrun mode which has a timer and hit/ko counter (which is cool), and protip, if you hit the dodge button in storymode, rider auto-walks to the next load zone, Dodge button also skips cutscenes.

The umihara kawase games are all pretty interesting runs, but I don't think lots of routing has been done for sayonara, so I think it would mostly be playing as intended, but fast.
