I think it's less just the proportions and more the textures they used. They're a bit too flat/ slick for the environments we're seeing. The effects are very realistic but the character are very cartoony looking.

Noble want/goal or not, lying or misleading fans about working with SEGA on a new project doesn't seem like a good idea and probably ends up hurting relations more than trying to connect.

I've noticed one of the things that the pre reboot comics actually did better was villains
What I mean is that when you break it down the only real big baddy is eggman, the rest of them aren't on the same threat level for example breeze is probably the only "villain" on a similar scale as eggman, but she seems to just be content with being a greedy bitch (not complaining though I do like her) the only other villains not a part of the egg army are snivley (probably), nagus, and eclipse. First off while reboot snivley is a dick he doesn't seem to be quite the same level of scum he used to be now that he's working for gun. Second I've never really found nagus interesting he always came across as generic too me andd finally while I actually do really like eclipse, he doesn't have the resources too be a major villain though a proper return of the black arms could do that
On the other hand, Finitevus, Scourge, Mammoth Mogul (under Ian), and the iron queen all came across as more serious threats. Granted I understand The writers have been busy with unleashed but it probably the biggest thing I wanna see them work on

Ian is a horrible character writer. He inserts politics and beliefs into characters but instead of making those characters a voice of said thing he instead makes them an example of it and as such they come across as either shallow or the meaning behind the character and the events surrounding them is vague and lost.
Furthermore as far as Sonic is concerned, there are multiple characters (namely Tails and Chip since they are the biggest examples of this) that Ian refuses to write for. He has taken every step in the book to attempt to not write them. From trivializing any sort of character flaw that they may develop so that he can feign that they are hard to write for to outright writing them out of the story so that they don't screw with the narrative.
At this current state, Tails as as character in the comic may as well not exist since he is so trivial to everything else despite being Sonic's little brother figure. Chip has literally done jack shit and it's quite apparent that he's going to be the dues ex machina for the arc even without knowing Unleashed's story.
And none of this goes into the fact that other characters have the exact opposite problem that Tails and Chip has.
Sonic, Eggman, Shadow and Knuckles all have the character and personality traits cranked up to overdrive and it just feels awkward at times comparing them to other characters around them since Knuckles himself has multiple layers of personality meanwhile you have shit like Rouge who is defined by two traits: Her need for jewelry and the fact that she works for GUN.
Eggman is probably the worst of all though since no matter how you place him to another person he comes off as a much more complex than any other character besides Knuckles.
So at the end of the day it's not that Ian doesn't know how to write a character it's the fact that he's extremely biased to what characters he wants to write for

So, in the 06 scene where Elise kisses Sonic, a bright light comes up and doesn't let you see. Has anyone removed it to see how far they animated? We do know Elise and other human characters were given nipples beneath the clothes, so it'd be hilarious if they went further than strictly necessary with that. Though that would probably put 06 even more in the mouth of everyone than now, which would be bad.
