I guess it's also part of the story. Hyrule's reign is shattered and there isn't a proper economy anymore. Rupees are pretty much like gold now, they can only used as barter.
I think what Aonuma wants to say is that before it was easy as fuck to find rupees, while now it will be much harder and we will have to use them propely.
Also, this is another confirmation there will be more NPCs.

Depends on what kind of upgrades they're talking about. If it's things like heart containers, that doesn't seem like the kind of thing to really take place in towns, but if they mean item upgrades, we never saw any form of "crafting" menu or anything. It could easily be that they removed it for the sake of the E3 demo, but it could also be purely restricted to towns.
I remember seeing Boko Clubs with "Durable" on them, maybe there are people in town you can pay to upgrade your equipment in a similar manner. Other than that an answer of "Not quite" doesn't really say anything other than upgrades not solely being linked to towns.

I beat OoT long ago when it first game out, but I literally stopped playing for a whole year in the middle of the Water Temple.
I think the only period of time I laser-focused on a game and beat it rather quickly were TP and Resident Evil 4. Back in college.

If it's a long RPG I just look up the story again on the net, carefully to not be spoiled. If I really like the story and don't want to be spoiled at all costs, I'll just keep playing anyway and only check the net when I finish it, I'll remember the story if I really want to.
I hate it when people say that we have less time as we grow up so devs should make games shorter, that's stupid. I'd rather play 30m a RPG a day and finish it in one year rather than play mobage 30m a day.
I don't mind long RPGs, I don't have kids but I think even if I did I'd kept the way I'm doing things right now. There's no need to rush and buy&finish games ASAP. Around one fourth of games releasing these days get an enhanced port/ remake in only one year or two. So you're better off waiting.

I'll do all the other sidequests/collect equipment and whatever, so the only thing left is the final boss. It doesn't even matter how much I enjoyed the game or not, I lose any interest I had in the game.
I think it might be because sometimes I end up accidentally getting spoilers when looking something else up regarding it. Most recently, this happened with Dragon's Dogma.

Based on the context, that doesn't sound like a definite confirmation of Christmas 2017 as much as it sounds like a joke about how BotW being released would be an early Christmas.
That being said, I'm highly skeptical of the March release date. We already know that they're delaying the Wii U release to coincide with the NX release, but if the NX was coming out in March, I would have figured that E3 would be a pretty fantastic place to show it off, given that it's less than a year away.

RX 480 will come out soon at around $250, and about the same performance as r9 390/gtx 970. So it's not expensive. Also, if you aren't already PC gaming then something is wrong with you.

I have an old, small 3DS and the game runs fine. I'm not obsessive about framerates so I don't notice that shit. But it's obviously made for an XL, because all the text and maps are hard as fuck to read on a small screen. It makes my eyes hurt. And you can't use the 3D, so it feels even smaller.
