He's not talking about vsync, he's talking about the rate control that's applied to audio so that the emulation is perfectly synced to display. Without it, emulators will generally stutter, drop frames, or have gaps in the audio, depending on whether or not it is blocked on audio.

I'm trying to find a way to get per-core settings to stay set. The first thing I do to each core is set the browser directory. So:

Well, let me just tell you right now, standalone Mupen64Plus is a big steaming pile of shit. RetroArch's fork is far, far superior. Still not as compatible as Project64, of course, but it handles most of the popular shit just fine, without the massive audio latency inherent in the standalone version.

Are you using standalone? Because bsnes/higan standalone only supports integer scaling afaik. If you don't like that, use Retroarch with the bsnes core instead.

I think that's maybe the secondary part of it (even though you can use a mouse in current RA but it isn't optimal), but partially the two things help each other. I tried TiTAN's "*Finally*" demo on bws, it was a disaster at several parts. Their "Overdrive" demo is good too, which works well on Genesis Plus GX.

I patched Treasure of the Rudras with the translation patch using Lunar IPS but when I try to run it in bsnes mercury accuracy, it just shows a black screen.
Any idea what I could be doing wrong?
I've got at least two other games I want to do this with (seiken densetsu and Marvelous) and I would rather avoid having issues every time.

Might be one of those patches that wasn't tested against real hardware, so it probably only works on Snes9x or ZSNES.

I bet $5 it's supposed to work with a header rom, and you're using redump roms with no headers.
You can just use a hex editor to add 512 bytes to the beginning of the clean rom, and then patch it.
You might have to delete 512 bytes off the beginning again after it's patched, unless you want to build a valid header, or the patch completely overwrites the header.
I guess there's probably tools to do this automatically too, but I always just use a hex editor.

I tried Snes9x Next and now I get sound but I still have a black screen. I don't know why a translation patch would fuck a rom so hard. Especially one that is as high profile as this.

Hi, does anyone know of ways to use a ds or 3ds as a pc controller?
Tried 3dscontroller and ds2key running on an r4i(3ds) but they get stuck on the loading screen and most searches are old and not helpful.

2) complain about retroarch core missing some useful stuff or not being up-to-date compared to standalone
3) ask if improving retroarch / libretro core is possible
4) wait 5s for SP to notice your post between tworefactoring commits
