So I know that some Emulators are allowed when it comes to speedrunning but I feel like there must still be a difference between an Emulator and a console that gives the Emulator an edge.
Today a World Record got shattered, the guy used an Emulator to beat a world record that was only created 2 days ago and he beat it by ALOT (24sec on a 1h 18 run)
Thats not the first time either, whenever the guys using the Console breaks the record after weeks and months, the Emulator user breaks it in 3 attempts the next day.

What really Happened at AGDQ by anon:
The year was AGDQ, and our hero Mirrored needed to decide on an outfit. This is the second time he would be leaving the house, so he felt he had to dress to impress (and hess). Not wanting to wash, he came up with the idea of just putting on more layers as the days went on. He left for AGDQ and thought about finally meeting Cosmo for the first time in his life as he sat in the booster seat at the back of mom's van. He imagines going up to Cosmo and saying "I'm actually wearing the true hero's clothes, you just can't see them because you haven't come of age. This is a reference to The Wind Waker for Nintendo GameCube. Don't worry though, I'll make you a real man... but by then I won't be wearing these clothes at all. All right, donations please." From here, Cosmo would say "Oh Mirrored, I now respect and love you. Let's watch anime together and you can talk over me while I praise you for your epic bot."

There's been a lot of discussions all over the internet about how speedrunning is "dying" when everyone who's been around knows it's just the popularity bubble bursting and people who never actually enjoyed the hobby itself becoming disillusioned with it.
All this is to say: where do we go from here? I think we can all agree speedrunslive.com is dead as is speeddemosarchive.com and GDQ LLC.
Is speedrun.com unsalvagable? Are there any ways to improve speedrun.tv? Would an idea like Trihex's Speedrun Breakdown be worthwhile if it wasn't handled by an incompetent buffoon?
Playing games fast is fun, as is watching them played fast. Degenerates like donationfags, SJWs, and whores easily overtook the hobby, but the core autistic value of the games is still there.
