It depends on the weapon, the same as explosive and bleed. Rapid, low-damage-per-hit weapons like the minigun, 10mm and assault rifle do the most damage with explosive, bleed and radiation, while high damage-per-hit weapons like the .50, plasma sniper, gauss rifle and fatman will benefit more from instigating or assassin's. Pretty sure the former are the best weapons in the game as well, unless you're going stealth.

I'm doing Call to Arms, and it's bugged the fuck out. I suspect what fucked it up was me finding and exploring (couldn't go further but did clean out the lobby) arcjet before I met Danse.
Basically as soon as I got the quest the two objectives given were "Talk to Danse" and "Provide Fire Support". Danse is unspeakable. He simply does not respond, but he DID walk his way all the way to arcjet and holed up in the CEO's office where he refuses to talk. The quest marker is on him.
I've looked up the console commands in hopes of resetting this crap, and discovered

>Find a way to open the door is 70(completed)
I have no idea what door but I certainly can't get in any further.
Attempting setstage 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 have done nothing,
Resetquest has caused him to run back to the police station, made everything dormant, but I cannot setstage to 10 to try talking to him again, and he ignores me once more.

How do you guys roleplay your characters in FO4?
Do you pretend Shaun doesn't exist?
Do you write in "AMNESIA" as an excuse for your character leaving the vault and not caring about finding him?
Do you pretend your character secretly hated their family the whole time and is glad to be free of them?
The MQ in this game is incredibly personal. Losing your family isn't something you just look past. In the MC's eyes, no time has passed so the emotional connection to them is as fresh as it could be.
What sort of mental gymnastics do you do to work around that?
Or do you just say fuck it and play the game?
