Yes it's good, just don't go in expecting the hyped up "Pokemon killer" aspect. They aren't the same game at all, just two games in the monster catching genre. If you want an explanation on the battle system, someone can fill you in, don't worry the demo was indeed shit.

Do I need to know Witcher 1, 2 or the books to really enjoy the game or will I be fine just starting with 3? Playing Mass Effect 3 was weird because I didn't understand half the shit.
