None of this would've happened if this chick just ditched the jumpydoll.

Seems like with his writing abilities, he is completely capable of enacting multidimensional scale plan.

go read the ep7 and 8 manga, then. He stopped treating the characters like real people and gave the fanbase answers in there
>>343844530
>He has no way to defend himself you ding dong.
I said that because he literally killed a defenseless puppy.
>>343847003
Well if you read the files about Metempsychosis it says that a person could "reincarnate" into anything, but because most things not-human don't have consciousness like ours then their "minds" don't actually manifest. As if they were simply in a cold-sleep every time they didn't reincarnate as a human.
So in a way, if Uchi came out and said that Gab was actually Kyle then it wouldn't break any established rule, as even in VLR it's said that he's inhabiting the body of someone else. And before anyone says "But "?" wasn't a dog!". It doesn't need to be a dog, as stated previously, if the mind of someone else was "sleeping" within Gab then it would just have been awaken once again when it arrived to Kyle's body.
So in the end, Kyle WAS accompanying Sigma and was the key to all of that.
How is this game a conclusion to anything?
>>343847963
neat
>>343847152
I wonder where Gab would actually go when he was put into the vent system. I mean, all teamsshare the same space at different times.
>>343848503

>>343848629
One of the files explains that
>>343848629
Zero MIND HACKED him
People are talking about no left in the game but was Sean not left? Left was said to be Brother's younger brother that died at a young age due to an incurable disease. I would guess that robot Sean is just a stepping stone to true clones in VLR.
So C END-1 is VLR?
>>343848451
but what purpose does Gab being Kyle fulfill?
>>343848781
And D1.
>Akane: I just remembered how much i loved baking as a child
>Junpei: Baking in an incinerator?

>>343848760
No, Left died because he was beaten to death and the police covered it up.
>>343848503
Things revealed:
>Brother's motives for releasing Radical-6 into the world
>Who Phi is
Things not revealed:
>Every other fucking thing
>>343848760
Left died when Brother was 26 or something like that, VLR claimed.
>>343848760
Sean was a boy Delta met in the hospital who died because the surgeon died in the car accident. No relationship to Left.
Delta was not related to Left by blood, he was the son of his adoptive parents.
>>343848503
I'd say its alright.
Reveals Who Brother and Phi is. As well as Brothers reason for releasing Rad-6.
The only thing it really left out to me was Where Kyle came into the story.
>>343848883
Well what we do know is that each Zero has their own fix.Akane was into Ice-9 and ALL ICE. Sigma was into termites. Brother had a hangover for snails.
Carlos and Junpei's bromance was the best part of this game.

>>343848818
It would have greatly helped Sigma remain sane during his 10 month confinement, as he can just talk with him and express his feelings knowing he won't remember any of it once he jumps back into his own body.
>>343849195

>>343849287
That scene was so animebut I loved it so muchI think that the fact that you couldn't just immediately jump timelines to save him or something really made that ending so much better as well. >>343849396
that's another thing that hasn't been mentioned as much... decisions and death meant nothing in VLR and ZTD since most of the time you were just getting them to clear all the game overs

How can anyone prefer this shit over 999? The characters all start off worse, develop less, and are so incredibly dumb it's ridiculous. Not to mention every single fucking time they stop being completely retarded some stupid shit interrupts them just to keep things from being explained, or how the only time you really get anything of worth from any of the cast it's because they're alone with Sigma and just decide to lay a bunch of exposition on you. Not to mention they're all huge assholes. Ace being a villain was at least something of a surprise since he actually worked together with the group at some points but what the fuck was up with Dio? And Alice, jesus what a fucking let down that was.
Please tell me ZTD is better than this steaming pile of shit.
>>343850592
Delta seems like the type of person who would befriend someone before they die just so he could ask them why they doomed themselves
>>343850194
>>343850284
i think it was alright in VLR because it was the introduction of Sigma's jumping power and the scenes like WOW BUT YOU BETRAYED ME LAST TIME were gold
by ZTD everyone already know people could jump timelines and I think there really needed to be some sort of restriction to the ability at the least so it felt like the decision games actually had some weight
These threads have gone to shit. RIP
>>343847003
So no one would stay behind because of Gab.

>>343850687
VLR just has a really slow pace, doesn't mean it's bad
ZTD has virtually no timing and blurts everything out in one large premature ejaculation

You're autistic.
>>343850687
In 999 characters' personalities were the twist in a lot of cases -- nobody was as they seemed.
In VLR it's more people's role which is secret, as opposed to personality.
In ZTD it'srelationshipsthat are the big secret twist.
>>343850687
>How can anyone prefer this shit over 999?
I don't prefer it but I really liked the switching between timelines and the Ambidex game (among other things I won't spoil).

>>343852040
VLR ended exactly the same.

You shouldn't really be surprised that ZTD ended up being more of the same

Also, five people freely jumping through space and time is more effective then all that shit Delta can do (except for the quantum computer, that thing is OP). Not to mention, Akane and Junpei have their own teams, thus a lot more manpower then just Delta.
Anyways, the whole thing is not spot on, but when you compare it to the swiss cheese ending of VLR, its a fine ending.

How am I trolling? They're in a game where the object is to escape with your life, but that "game" really has no relevance. They're being trained to stop radical 6 which you don't find out until the end.
ZTD is *exactly* the same. The whole exercise was a training gauntlet.
Arguably even 999 was the same. Akane needed to put Junpei into a situation to train his jumping ability to save her from the incinerator. It had nothing to do with the game he himself was in, as that was a complete ruse and he wasn't actually in danger
>>343852554
>swiss cheese einding of VLR
VLR resolved all the mysteries in its internal story, the only "holes" are stuff that were left for the sequel and weren't directly relevant to the main plot of the game.
I see you guys started bashing the previous games to defend ZTD.
>>343852581Yeah, the characters meant it when they said they didn't do it.Do you remember in VLR when Sigma said he doesn't know why chose betray in some of the endings? He says something along the lines of, "It felt like someone was controlling me and chose betray for me." I wonder if we were mind-hacking him as the player.

That's exactly why ZTD shouldn't do another training ending
If you establish that the plot is gearing up to address a big threat, then when you continue it needs to actually be about addressing the big threat
>>343852613
>Ending it with a "An even greater disaster now awaits" was just dumb and most of all disappointing.
Yeah that is how I feel as well. The story should have been wrapped up. Now I feel that ZE4 has to exist in order to resolve that issue. It's stupid because now you are taking one story and stringing it across 3 games. If ZE4 was going to exist at all, it should be it's own standalone story with no direct connections to the other games.
>>343852776
>Akane needed to put Junpei into a situation to train his jumping ability to save her from the incinerator.
That's not what happened at all. They even addressed that in ZTD.

one of the biggest points of my disappointment in this game is the scene where Delta goes "I have two things to show you" then shows you the dead dog then MIND HACKS into shotgun mouthwash

Zero wanted radical 6 to break out you retard. In one version he allows them to win and see if they can stop religious fanatic which is the true end I suppose. But he also did it so he could be born in the first place.

I was expecting that to happen and was disappointed when it didn't too. I imagine it was supposed to happen at one point but was written out because of budget cuts
So, what was the point of Q team's force quit passwords?
For C-Team, vive hodie is almost certainly referring to Akane and Junpei and Carlos finally not having to worry about the future but instead just focusing on the now, especially Akane.
For D-Team, it's obviously Delta and Phi's mementos.
But what's the point of Q-Team's number passwords? What are they referring to?
>>343854014
To be fair, I think all the characters are varying levels of stupid in this. If ZTD was more novel-like, he probably would've been less dense. The 10 months thing was mainly just Uchi needing a way to have Akane and Junpei be alive for the VLR timeline--Carlos was exploited for this end, then dumped because he never appears again in it.

Well I just finished the game. I think one of my biggest issue with ZTD is the god awful cutscenes. The cutscene where Akane took a chainsaw was just hilariously bad. At least in VLR or 999, most of the horrific moments were descriptive, rather than conveyed with half baked cutscnes with the most stiff animations I've ever seen.
Reading is more immersive to me than watching cutscenes. I do not welcome this change at all. There are some pretty cool bits, but I still think 999 is the superior game, in terms of plot, atmosphere and visuals.

So does Junpei do anything good in the game? Only thing I've seen about him ishim dying and his body parts being used for a puzzle. And Akane going nuts every time something happens to him. So does he do anything himself of is he grumpy the entire game? Don't really know why he's my favorite character or why I care. Probably because he was the first main character or something.

>The thing is, I was never invested in MGS series. I cannot not admit that the story in MGSV is the weakest one, but at least gameplay is top notch, so it was okay for me in the end
That's fair. As a longtime MGS fan, I want my nonsensical, batshit insane stories 'cause I eventually get attached to the characters and emotionally invest in them. None of those happened in MGSV.
With regards to ZTD, I hated some of their personalities in this game. Akane's moralfaggotry, Sigma's deadfish personality, and the clusterfuck that was Q-Team.
Some of the puzzles were infuriating. The repeating color-coded 3D puzzle, and the "place items on X-spots" were too simple that it honestly felt like they just did those to pander to newcomers.
Endings were alright, on average. I love D-Team, so I was happy seeing them happy. C-Team was ehh. Junpei proposing to Akane was a WTF moment, but then I realized that Jumpy has also become batshit insane, so I just stopped caring. Fuck Q-Team; I never cared for them.
So yeah. Much like MGSV, ZTD was overall a good standalone game, but a terrible way to end the series.

>OKAY NOW 2 SAVE JUMPY AND AKANER
>JUMPY, AKANER, I GOTCHU
>I GOBBA SEND U IN DIFRENT FUTUR
>Oh wait only I don't know that transporter actually makes a copy and sends it into the past, so those guys inside the input pods were killed because of me since Sean clone has fucked up the console and probably blew errythang up
>I AM STILL THE HERO DOE.
>>343860697
Load up your save and actually read the fucking files.I can't because I uninstalled it right after I got my 100% completion.
Is Carlos a hero or just a real human bean?

I still like darker songs in series

>>343860836
Yes yes, well done C team, well done. However!
>>343859218
I have no idea if its good but ManlyBadassHero has a video out thats over an hour long and I assume each part will be that long.

>>343860983
I think that guy stopped playing ZTD in order to play through 999, though.
>>343859218
I only have my 8 hours of footage with a couple of segments done off-screen.
Besides I doubt it that anybody wanted to see a man pull out a piece of paper and spend about 1.5 hours solving a fucking ALIEN NUMERICAL SYSTEM AYYY FUCK THAT
I mostly just bantered with lads who were watching the stream anyway, so the final Delta reveal was just a constant stream of incessant screaming of "RUSED AND ABUSED" and "OUT FUCKING SKILLED BY STEVE JOBBS"
>>343861084
Fucking good, the parts of those look fucking long too.
I'd never watch a full LP of these games. Maybe a highlight reel but never a full LP.
>>343858693
If you're talking about how you couldn't just press the button during the minigames, then yes I agree. It also felt a little laggier than in VLR.
>>343860836
he is a murderer
>>343860734
carlos is the man
>>343861183
>so the final Delta reveal was just a constant stream of incessant screaming of "RUSED AND ABUSED" and "OUT FUCKING SKILLED BY STEVE JOBBS"
That sounds fun
>>343857501
why does eric get shotgun in every timeline?
>>343846093
for girls:
Kill Akane, fuck Phi, Marry Lotus
for boys:
Kill Quark, fuck Junpei, Marry Carlos

I'm sure that's the reason ALL of the cool shit was off screen
>Playing 999
>Can't make it past the first puzzle
Okay I get the 63 and the 74 part of the cases but what am I missing?
>>343861308
His animations was initially rigged in shotgun-holding pose. It's fate.
>>343860710>No, Carlos executing Delta was through executing D-Team through the vote, wasn't it?By killing off his parents you mean? I thought he meant personally.
>>343861183
The ayylium symbols aren't actually that difficult once you figure out you only have to know which ones are bigger or smaller than the flower.
>>343861308
he didnt forget
>>343861325
People getting melted by acid on screen seems too far for ZE. It's not a guro series.
>>343854578
Junpei wanted the xpasses, he didn't know they were different for every timeline
>>343859806
Agreed, C-Team's convoluted escape plan was one of the best parts of the game
>>343860778
Well fuck, I didn't even notice there are new files. You're correct.
>>343860710
he can read minds anon, and santa fucking suck holy shit
>>343861373
There are two briefcases.
There are also two codes, and thus two hint papers indicating the code
>>343861610
Read all of those files
How do I get pic related
>>343861739
You must collect all trophies you dumb fuck
>>343861739
Check your quest tab under the files section. You might've missed some stuff. Sort them in "room" order and start looking for them.
>>343861739
you missed a quest file
>>343861205
Also how you can't scroll through the files without going back to the file menu after you're done reading each one.
And moving the camera is much slower than in VLR, unless you do something like simultaneously hold L, O and tilt the right analog stick left.
I don't think the Vita was up to the task of this game, the framerate felt absolutely horrid. God knows what the 3DS version is like.
How's the PC version in that regard, does anyone know?
>>343861847
>>343861865
Thanks, I'll do that then.
It's the only two I'm missing.
>>343861183
I still don't fully understand the whole converting 10 decimal to 13 thing but what I did worked out anyways so fuck it
>>343861806
Where's C O M P L E X M O T I V E S?
>>343861739
There's one thing I'm 90% sure is missable. In the library you can complete the key to the final safe without accessing the second book with the chair.Maybe you missed that?
>>343861948
Yeah, I still never understood all that mumbo jumbo since 999, but I got the idea that the hexagon shit is for converting them to another set of numbers, so whatever.
>>343859692
>>343858943
I still don't know why Clover loses the three dots under her right eye and replaces it with what looks like it might be a pink clover.
>>343861980
Or the "strike" card on the floor in pod room. At least I missed that one.
>>343861957
I'm sorry anon it's too late at night for me to remember something so obvious...
>>343861980
This is probably it.
I've read NIL and EXIST and when I found those blanks with the same number of characters, I just put them in and forgot about all the other clues I guess.
>>343861671
Files about Sean, Eric and Mira are retarded.
>>343861948
They're just implying that ayylmaos have thirteen digits/fingers (tridecagon) so you have to do the multiplication. After which, the converter does the rest for you (replacing the number in base-10 to an equivalent base-13 number).
>>343861948
>These guys can't convert from base-10 to other base numerical systems
http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/numDecToHex/I was forced to learn this due to my degree and would never have learned otherwise
>>343861896
I actually played it on 3DS, I didn't think it was TOO bad
>>343861665
Well yes, and each hint corresponds to the colors in the code and 8 numbers I have to figure out. Mercifully 4 of them are only 1-5 but the other four are 0-9. Also the game was nice enough to tell me that one set contains 63 and the other set contains 74.
Now how do I extrapolate the remaining numbers in the sequence?
>>343862269
Do other people actually need to learn it? I only learned it as well because of EE/Math.
>>343862243
I think its really interesting that the way they wipe Mira of her sin is to LITERALLY make sure she doesn't become a serial killer.
Hell I actually think its kind of touching.
>>343862269
Math was never my strong suit
>>343862269
Isn't converting bases mandatory for Complex Logarithmic functions?
What does 'together with me, we are ten' mean and why does Junpei react heavily to it?
>>343862484
It also does literally nothing in that timeline so it doesn't really absolve her of anything.
>>343861806
As much of a disappointment ZTD was, this has produced the most OC of any game I've followed or looked forward to in years.
For the first time in a long time, I'm fucking proud of you, /v/.
>>343861407
I figured out that lone symbols probably meant prime numbers and that any combination of symbols probably shouldn't exceed 12.
>>343862624
999
>>343862530
Not the same anon, but yeah. It's a vital concept in Math, Physics and Engineering, especially when it comes to signal processing.
>>343862624
He realized Q was Zero
>>343862519
This.I need to learn Stats for my Master's and while I plan to study a bit before starting the semester (memory problems and such), I'm already worried.
>>343862624
"It's a fucking q."
>>343862640
They're well aware, doesn't change that they opened up the possibility that in some timeline Mira can turn into an actual good person.
>>343862624
you should know by then
>>343862412
For the transporter room? No.
It is a concept in 999 though with the base 27 shit.
>>343862759
Maybe I'm just being dumb, but where in Stats do you use base conversion?Only took basic Stats in university for my Engineering degree, so most of my knowledge is on standard deviations and Z-values.
>>343862412
I'm in CS and I had to make use of this very early on.
>>343862961
I was referring to maths in general, not specifically base conversion.
>>343862648
yep, I think I'm having more fun in these threads than I did with the game
>>343862974
Yeah, sorry. I forgot about CSMy focus area is on signal processing, which is basically an application of CS theorems, so I had a shit ton of CS classes. To be honest, I hated the CS people mainly because most of them were weird-as-fuck.
>>343862881
I actually don't remember that.
>>343863228
>most of them were weird-as-fuck.
Agree completely, most of the people around me are Indians and they're for the most part horrible people.
>>343862676
>>343862743
>>343862829
>"I'm haunted by fucking Qs.'
>>343847963
So the bit about FBR was real? Or was injecting themselves with Radical-6 really worth something?
>>343863025
Gotcha. Best of luck with that Master's anon.I might go back and get a Master's degree after I get my Engineering license, but with the volatile job market, I don't wanna do that just yet.
>>343863228
In the English version of 999, they explained that the symbol on the final number 9 door was a lower case q. This would be 26 in base 27, which would allow (2 + 4 + 5 + 7 + 8 = 26) Snake, Clover, Junpei, Seven, and Lotus to leave.
In the Japanese version, the explanation was that 9 = kyuu = q.
>>343857501
This OC is actually genuinely funny to me.
>>343863425
FBR was fake, which probably meant that the Rad-6 in that timeline was also fake. They probably just injected themselves with water or something
I think this is literally the first time I have all the achievements to a game. They couldn't have done the golden files at least?
>>343863349
Really? I liked my Indian clasmates when I was finishing up my EE degree. They were all chill as fuck.My whole class (which was about 30 people) would go to a shisha bar once every few weeks to chill and drink our horrible exams away
The CS people that I had to deal with back when I was studying were just awkward-as-fuck to talk to. And these issues were not limited to immigrants or international students.
>>343863480
My B.S. is in Psychology which needs a Master's or Doctorate to be useful.
I'm not a huge fag who wants to go into Clinical though but I still need the degree. Which is fine. I only worry because severe memory and comprehension issues.
Will any plot twist ever be as good as 999's plot twist? I still get chills when I remember my first time playing through it
>>343863761
>>343863425
It foreshadows the reason why Zero released radical 6 and set up the game.Sean explains it when you choose to inject. Your (Humanities) survival rate is 25% with Radical 6 (2 billion survive out of 8 billion) but with FBR (Terrorists) it's all or nothing. Either 100% survive (Zero's super team wins) or everybody dies
>>343864006
Play ever17, bub.
>>343863228
>weird-as-fuck
Huh. Everyone I know at my institute(EEE) is relatively normie with varying degrees of nerd and weeb
>>343864006
We can make our own plot, together!
>>343864006
It's the first VN I played where taking different branches in the story was treated like time-travel. From that point my mind was just regularly blown by the twists.
>>343864006
There are like 2-3 twists for the game. One is fairly obvious, so is the other one. The third you would never realize, but it actually means nothing in the grand scheme of thing. So, nah, keep your expectations in check.
>>343864208
You're saying that you didn't play 999 and VLR?
>>343864314
I'm talking about 999
I understand that Uchi did the exact same thing before in his previous works, but 999 was my first and left the most impact
>>343864157
>get spoiled about blick winkel browsing zero escape threads before playing E17
>it's not even the 2nd craziest twist in the game
>>343863554
Also in the English version, the Nonary Game Rules are on a paper rather than spoken over the Speakers, so instead of the pun of 9=kyu, it's about the fact that 9 looks lik q
>>343864496
> See all the twists from 999 used in Ever17
> Still didn't see the main twist coming
>>343864189
I'm jelly. Maybe it's just because I live here in Canada, but yeah. The CS people were elitists and try-hards.Our EE batch invited them once to a house party, and while we had our own suspicion about their drinking habits, we let it slide. Turns out that some of them are so coddled that they never had a drink in their entire lives. Basically, they got wasted after a few shots. Others started puking all over the floor and shit.
Also, I can never forgive some of them for liking fucking Guilty Crown and Asterisk War.
I spent three days playing this game and now I feel so empty inside. VLR disappointed me too. Why did I ever like this series? What am I doing with my life?
>>343859806
Yeah, the crazy plan actually was one of the most memorable parts of the game and I really wish the game just did more things like that. I kinda wish they had all the players Shifting all over timelines all the time trying to find the true answers to stuff.
>>343864890
I feel sorry for you. I liked VLR immensely.
>>343864538
I think there was also a fuckup in the English version where they had a flashback recalling Zero saying "Seek a door with a [q]" over the loudspeaker, which never happened.
>>343862624
It hinted at the true number of players and by now Junpei knows this twist.
>>343863920
Nah, all the ones around me limit their interaction with everyone else around them to asking to copy their work. Plenty of them flunk their classes if they can't cheat. Some of our exams used to be absurd in that regard until the professors had enough and started failing people on the spot.
East coast NA, if it matters.
>>343864890
I like the games' unique perspectives on the player's role in being part of the game. Reminds me on mgs2 in a way
>>343865181
>to copy their work. Plenty of them flunk their classes if they can't cheat.
Kek I'll admit that there's a lot of truth to this. There were a fair amount of Indians that dropped out because they were failing (and one of the Indian dudes who moved here in high school said that it's fairly common for Asian people to cheat because there's a difference between teaching styles, priorities and culture and whatnot)
But yeah, my EE batch was chill as fuck. Love them all, even that Chinese girl that I briefly dated but couldn't keep up with because she's high maintenance shit. Fucking Canada allowing Chinese businessmen to fuck our housing prices
>>343850931
That's... actually pretty accurate. And I like it because it expands the scope as the world does
>>343861196
I had some fun reading an LP on 999, since I needed something to do at work during down time. Gave me some little bits of pieces of things I missed in my playthrough when the game released.
What happened to Santa?
Does no one know Akane was Zero in the first nonary game?
Well Now that I've started playing 999 I have to say that9 Really fucked up badly.
>>343867995
Santa knew.
Have you even played 999
He helped Akane with the Crash Keys stuff behind the scenes after she established the thing.
