I propose changing the audio setting to headphone at that time and testing the headphones upstairs in the vhs world or some other option orientated solution. I think that a fresh new cast of characters would be a very good idea for this series, and that seems to be the direction they're going in. We've gotten too used to playing as people who are experts at dealing with monsters and other creepiness-- Chris Redfield is pretty much a superhero by this point.
Making a Resident Evil game from the POV of an average person who has no experience in dealing with horror shit is the way to go if the goal is to make the series scary again. Part of how Silent Hill managed to maintain its eeriness is that each game had a fresh protagonist who felt weak and afraid enough for the player to identify as them. The one SH game that failed the hardest in that regard is Homecoming, where they went the Resident Evil route of having you play as an ex-military badass who was good at killing stuff.

So we just wanted to make a point of that: that they're both in the horror genre, but what you'll actually see at the end of the day is completely new.
I'd just like to add that I, of course, played PT, and I thought it was an excellent demonstration or excellent game, if you want to call it that. I also know from hearing on the backside of the industry in Japan that the staff who worked on it had to work very hard to achieve what they did. I think it looked really great, and it had so much promise, and I was unfortunately very disappointed that it didn't come to fruition. That was too bad that that happened; I'd just like to share the fact that I really loved it.
