Honestly I can see 3 possible options for what is happening here.
1 - There are no more endings, the finger genuinely does nothing, we have already done everything
2 - The secret ending is currently impossible to access either due to a bug or (more likely) due to design with the intent of patching this ending in later (most likely when the demo becomes available for all platforms, which Capcom has already stated they will do)
3 - The secret ending DOES exist but requires you to do something so utterly obscure and asinine that no one has been able to do it. Were this any company other than Capcom I would not include this option but Capcom have always have obscure as fuck easter eggs in their games so an ending that can only be reached by doing something unbelievably obscure isn't out of the question (like using the axe to write "RE 7" in axe marks on a specific piece of wall or playing through the game exactly 7 times in one sitting then on the 7th time playing through the VHS segment exactly 7 times then opening and closing every draw in the house during the VHS segment exactly 7 times only on the 7th time you played it or some bullshit like that).

Alright guys-I think we have to face the fact that Capcom put in shit to intentionally fuck with players.
Is anybody extremely turned off from the game by this notion? I was legit excited, as I love the RE franchise, but this just shouts that Capcom doesn't give a shit to me. Instead of making an interesting demo to showcase the engine and game they just filled it with nonsensical items to build false hype. They don't care about the franchise or the fans.
If this continues to be their attitude, then this game can go fuck itself.
What I love about this is that it shows what people are missing in their lives.
The sense of wonder and discovery, mystery and exploration.

I'm probably not a typical RE fan because of how much I liked 5 (I probably replay it with a friend every year) but I think what I've realized is that I'm just not averse to RE taking new directions. If the direction is shitty (RE4->RE5->RE6) then it's shitty, but I wasn't screaming about the actiony direction of 4 and 5 until 6 made me sick.
Similarly, I'm totally okay with RE going in a first-person more horror-oriented direction. I enjoyed the demo more or less but I'm not sure how to feel yet. I guess my point is just that chance suits RE well and has suited it well in the past. I mean, I love RE1 but how could anyone think RE4 is both a shit game and in any way similar to RE1?

Speaking as a big fan of 3 and veronica on dreamcast, I like the new direction with this game. I like ho the guys are like fbi agents investigating and how things are more grounded and photorealistic.
It feels like how REmake revamped 1 by reducing the contemporary cheese and made things more isolated and empty. I also like ho 7 takes place in this central bayou estate location. That was a pretty good idea for setting I didn't think of.
It's also cool how the plot is like you're in this seeming reboot setting and investigating the aftermath of 6 and how things became the way they are. Really lends itself tosome great world-building.

The clicking sound might be something, however it seems to happen completely at random from my experience.
The biggest problem with using audio cues in this game is that there is just SO MANY little bits of ambient audio that are played seemingly randomly (or at least, on a very long, difficult to follow ambient track) that it becomes very difficult to keep track of audio cues at all. Add to this that everything your character does makes an annoying amount of sound (footsteps, floorboards, bumping into physics objects that are littered around everywhere like chairs, cans, boxes, mannequins, etc) and it becomes practically impossible to keep track of what audio cues you triggered and what is just an inconsequential part of the game's sound effects.
PT had sound cues but they were very obvious because the ambient sound was quiet, hell even your footsteps were quieter in PT than in this game. IT worked in PT because the ambient track wasn't so crowded like this demo.

Not in a house where everything is cramped and there's only so much space you can run to. So long as the AI part finding can be made to deal with clutter, and climb over stuff, you'd be hard pressed to get away from a zombie that walks at a medium pace.
There's a few mechanics I hope they'll adopt for the game, such as realistic ammo management. Would also be cool to find a rusty pistol early game that had like a 30% chance of locking up, forcing you to reload during a tense moment.

Even in the "old school" RE games the zombies were never the central focus, they were the RE equivalent of generic grunts while the mutants like the Hunters, Chimera, Lickers, G-mutants, and Tyrants (ESPECIALLY the Tyrants) were the real threats. Even in the story this is true, zombies were always an accidental creation while stuff liken Hunters and Tyrants were what Umbrella was REALLY after.
