If you know how to draw relatively well animating is pretty much just an extension of that. It's an excruciating amount of work so any literature on the subject should really help. What you will learn is the tricks of how to do it faster and most importantly efficiently.
It requires different kind of thinking For example. You can't just sketch something vague and make the pose work from that point. You instead have to make the pose relate to the last one and lead to something you're aiming for. But then again the images are passing so you can take numerous shortcuts which are best learned from some source.
I'm personally just having fun with it and learning by doing.

I have a weird relationship with drawing.
I try to get into it every once in a while, but I get so discouraged with how my art looks I just give up on it and (genuinely) don't get any time to practice it.
I mostly just draw a character I see and try to match them detail for detail. Never had enough courage to actually draw my own scenario/poses. Thus, why I post requests in here like a desperate fool.
If I don't ever get good at it, I'm content with being a lot more confident in my writing.
