Insurgency if you don't have it already. One of the best current multiplayer fps games imho. A bit frustrating at first before you get used to the fact that you die in 1-3 shots and you can get easily picked off if you are carelessly running around.
The community is cool and you meet quite a few veterans. Also after every round you can talk through voice chat with opposing team and every time people just shout "allahu akbar" and play arab music. It's fucking gold. It's especially amusing knowing that the creators took special care to make sure there is no mention or refference to the insurgents being muslim so as not to offend.
bought Crypt of the NecroDancer yesterday and am loving the feel of the game. it's a really nice old-fashioned indie dungeon crawler, and I would recommend it to everyone that likes those, and enjoy catchy video game music. The difficulty is pretty good too, so you won't breeze through it
Sheiiiiiiit, I was gonna get Doom3 for 2.50 but then I see if I pay 4.50 I get the expansion pack too. Is it worth it?

Music by Danny Baranowsky who is one of the best composers of videogame soundtracks. Every game he made soundtrack for is worth playing for the soundtrack alone. He did Super Meat Boy, Binding of Isaac (original not rebirth, the soundtrack is superior to rebirth) and bunch more i don't remember.

Rocket League is full of kids and people jumping on the train, it's trash. Dying Light for fun parkour, ragdolls and killing zombies, Alien for spooky and great looking space station with an incredible sound design. Good headphones / speakers necessary, though.

It is pretty good, but I find the threeway choice for truth doubt or lie is pretty much trial and error in some cases, and if you pick the wrong one he is guaranteed to say something totally stupid and waay off of the context of the conversation.

I finished Lisa and the DLC two days ago. Great game overall, the first game in a long time to make me laugh (I almost cried too). Tons of replayability with all of the unique party members, and chances are you'll miss some areas of the game first time through.
The first 45 min or so is pretty damn slow though, so just push through that then you're in for a good time

Call of Jurez: Gunslinger, it's got a fast paced arcadey feel to it, that most modern shhoters lack. Plus (and i can't stress this enough) most enemies die from headshots, or 2-3 body shots at most, which the game so much more rewarding than fighting against bullet sponges. Also i hear the darkness 2 is good
P.S sniper elite isn't amazing, but shooting through skulls in slow motion is pretty fun

Hard West is currently on sale for 15 dollarydoos and it's got better turnbased combat than xcom, better rpg mechanics than most rpgs, and it's got zombie cowboys and demons and magic and shit.Plus getting shot fucks your shit up, you can get shot in the head and then when it heals it becomes an advantage. BFG has controller support, autosaves, achievements, native widescreen support (original can be made to run widescreen via an ini edit), higher res HUD, you can turn the flashlight on while holding a weapon, and some minor retextures on characters. Also comes with Doom and Doom 2 with achievements as well.
Original has modding support, and you can't use a weapon while you have the flashlight out (half the people think that's a plus, the other half think that's a minus).

I actually really enjoyed the evil within. I played it on xbone. The gameplay is really solid, hard mode really gives you a challenge, ammo is scarce, and you'll be running and hiding a lot. My only real complaint is the story is shit.

I picked up the season pass on sale, and I still think I paid too much. I hear the third dlc is good, but I haven't tried it yet. The first two are literally just the game, stripped of any combat besides stealth kills. It's even to the point to where if you sneak up on someone and they see you, you can't even swing your weapon at them.

I didnt like homeworld because of how slow the large ships are. every time you start a level the game puts all your ships in a line and it take like 10 minutes realtime for them to all form up the way you order them to.

The third one I haven't tried, but I hear you play as a boss from the main game and it has good melee combat. The first two you play as the girl detective and it's just stealth. It has it's spooky moments, but the dlcs are basically just playing hide and seek while progressing through the levels. Hell even the boss fights in the dlc were just avoid the boss until the elevator arrives.
Some people might like it, but I was majorly let down, I was expecting more of the main game, not having all weapons taken away

Dying light is fun, but there's pretty much nothing to do once you beat it. Also the invasion multiplayer is pretty gay because survivors are ridiculously overpowered.

Regarding Hard West it's better to me because you can't abuse the ai as easily and they're very aggressive. You can't just sit in a defensive position unless you've got a very good gun because eventually some butthole will creep around the house and shoot you in your unprotected flank.
Game works off a "luck" sytem so if I have a 72% chance to hit, 72 is subtracted from your luck and I "miss". Damage is calculated based on your cover. If you've got full cover, you're barely going to get hurt, if you get flanked you're going to take full damage and die/get crippled.Shredded hands, mutilated faces, gushing wounds, skull fractures, etc are the result of these kinds of hits. Though these often heal over time and make you stronger. One example is I had a fractured skull which turned into a missing chunk of brain. I got luckier and more reckless but lost a bit of ability to aim.
As far as the rpg elements go, there's no character leveling but you collect cards to try to make poker hands. Each card gives you some kind of benefit in combat but the hands are where it's at.
Plus there's a whole layer of choose your own adventure/adventure game/roleplaying thrown in on the overworld screen that'll get you different effects/gear as well as injuries/poisonings/diseases.
Overall it's incredible how much content they packed in.
Is Space Marine worth it for $10? I'm hoping it has a decently long campaign.

It's different from old XCOM, but in a good way I feel. While the iroginals were simulations, the new ones are more "video-gamey" where you are rewarded for learning and exploiting mechanics.
Truth be told, if you're on the fence, wait for the second one coming out in February. It seems like it's going to be beter in every way.

I went and bought BF:BC2 and the Vietnam expansion and gotta say, I do enjoy it again, played it back when it originally came out on PS3.
