Tend to not be execution heavy with decent neutral options. Tager is an exception, in that he's a grappler, but in CPE he might just be the easiest grappler in fighting game history.

Celica is specifically catered to beginners. She's got easy inputs, her Drive is similar to the autocombo system for Persona 4, and she does pretty good damage for minimal effort.
Jin is the standard jackofalltrades character. He has s tool for every situation. Multiple DPs that cover various scenarios, and good spacing tools.

In Continuum Shift and Chronophantasma, if it used the same conventions as Ragna and Terumi's BlazBlue activation phrases, then it would actually be something like this:

So in Melty Blood Act Cadenza, there was this co-op thing, where you can get two characters together and they can fight another two characters. It was terribly executed and literally no one used it, plus the game wasn't really made with four separate characters in mind in the first place, but forget that for a sec.
When you put two characters together into a team, they were given a team name. Each team had a unique name. For instance, Shiki and Sion formed "Midsummer Night's Dream", and Shiki and Satsuki was "Unrequited Love, Continuing Even At Zero Distance".
If BlazBlue had a similar mechanic, what would the team names be?

A lot of the persona cast would get destroyed because of persona mechanics. Imagine Hibiki's drive, except they all had it, were all super free if their shit got tagged by a 5A gatling'd into a 5C or 2B, and if they got broke x amount of times they're half a character.
You could take away the Persona card system entirely I guess, but Persona doesn't have ukemi or barrier so you'd have to rework a lot of moves to actually do shit against the defense mechanics. You'd also need to make certain Persona attacks x invuln to be worth using because they're still going to be free if they get called out.
It wouldn't be easy. Just make GG x BB.

General tips would be:
2B to poke
Run up and barrier is your friend
Stick to the opponent like glue, you have nothing at mid range other than 5D and j.D and both are easily baitable
You have shitty oki so you're going to be throwing a lot
If you whiff 236D you can run up throw or 5B (if they're airborne its air unblockable, so depending on hitbox try to 5C/6A/5D after) on surprised opponents. Happens a lot on tip blocked 5D ->236D.
2A and 5B can be used to stagger pressure opponents, can also bait 2Bs or 2As if you go for 6B after, fatals on CH
End combos with 6C when you have meter and you're near a corner instead of 236D. You'll have okizeme, so bait rolls and all that.
Use the command grab early or the opponent can be pushed out. Also, harder to react to it that way, everybody expects shit like 5C 214D.
Don't overuse 5D to poke, its vertical hitbox isn't great and it has high recovery.
6C only when you have rapid or you're punishing a whiffed reversal. If blocked reversal, try to go for run up 5C or 6B instead if you can, if they have meter to rapid.
Don't IAD j.C often, it loses to like everything. Try j.As if you're trying to beat out the opponent in the air or close to landing near the opponent.
blocked j.D can be followed by j.2D if you're close enough to the opponent. If it hits (its overhead) go for Messenga. Burensen works in the corner but it's tight and has to be really low.
Punish zoners with Messenga in the middle of blockstrings. It doesn't go completely fullscreen so be wary.
If you have HP advantage and meter, don't blow all your meter on supers if you get shitty starters. Sit on it and focus on trying to keep the opponent in the corner or use it on rapids to try to bait someone mashing on blocked 6C or 236D
