The biggest changes to note is the removal of Pumpkin and the change to her wind regen. Pumpkin is gone. Entirely. It's replacement is a little coffin that produces bats. The bats have no hitbox however when they hover on top of an opponent, the opponent's health is slowly sapped away. And of course the bat's position can be changed via wind.
Speaking of wind, wind regen has been nerfed. It takes 10 seconds to go from 0 to 4 stocks however the first two stocks takes 7 seconds to fill while the last two stocks fill quickly. So you're not going to have constant access to wind anymore.

Shiori is an assassin who relies on poisoned weapons, but she's not particularly strong as a fighter. She mostly relies on surprise attacks or on poisoning people's food. Which is something I found fitting, since this is what you'd expect an actual assassin to do.

Yeah, Mai could be at roughly the same level as Makoto. Chachakaka gave up trying to kill her because she couldn't beat her even when Mai was unarmed. Seifer commented that she fights very well. It's hard to judge how good she'd be in the present though, since we don't know what exactly her grimoire can do after it got powered up by a fragment of the azure and how Mai's fighting skills developed since Remix Heart.

This manga had some pretty good scary faces in it. Noel's and Makoto's faces in that Mai nightmare were extremely creepy as was Seifer's after he revealed his true colors to Mai when she couldn't anything about it.

The problem is that they're not doing anything with it. For example Jin's flaw is that he was a selfish bratty asshole who didn't give a shit about anything. In one timeline his selfishness led to the loss of the one woman he actually loved and who loved him back which turned him into Hakumen. In the current timeline he's frequently berated for being a selfish jerk by everyone important until he stopped being a selfish jerk. Note that his character didn't do a total 180, he's still an asshole and he still has nothing but vitriol for both Ragna and Noel but at present he's willing to put his hatred to the side to accomplish the task at hand.
With Litchi we don't really get that, in CT she's ignoring everything to save Lotte and during CP she's still ignoring everything to save Lotte. It's getting to the point where it's hard to find sympathy for her because we don't see what happened to make Lotte so important to her. The only things we know about Lotte is that he was jealous of Kokonoe and he made good coffee. Now if she was frantically looking for a cure to help both herself and Lotte then fine but as said they dropped that plotline so we're pretty much where we were in CT which makes her increasingly annoying.

Jesus I spent 3 years hardcore into Marvel and never really did anything with it other than a few locals. Anyway Marvel 3 is a very silly game. For starters the damage is high. And I mean super fucking high. You have a team of 3 characters however it's not uncommon to lose a character off a stray jab. Also there's a glaring gap between those in the high and top tier pool and those who are not. It's not as bad as say Marvel 2 but it would take an act of God for you to beat a top class Vergil with Phoenix Wright. Even if you were the best PW in the world.
But in reference to what he posted: X-Factor is a mechanic where you have one time to give your character massive boosts in speed and power. And the more characters you lost, the stronger it became and the longer it lasted. Similar to ODR you could also guard cancel from it. And if you thought the damage was high normally, a full powered XF could wipe an opponent's entire team. So a lot of the game revolved around taking away the opponent's ability to play the game at all. Because if you lost any momentum then it could potentially be a death sentence for you especially since the more you chip away at the opponent, the greater a threat his X-Factor is to you.

A lot of it was establishing the plan to kill the Imperator and how exactly that would work but fucking nothing happened for the 6 Heroes plot and a lot of Sector 7's plot. And a good chunk of Ragna's plot was just establishing the relationship with Celica. The worst example of this is the Bang and Bullet bonding segment. Bang and Bullet begin to get close and understand each other and then Izanami uses Takamagahara to rewind time and complete erase all of that from ever happening. Making it a giant waste of time.

Yes and no. Yes in that it is a comeback mechanic that gets more powerful the closer you are to losing but that's where it stops. In addition to OD not lasting nearly as long as XF does, while XF makes your character mind numbingly powerful OD isn't as strong. OD normally entails one strong combo (or in CF a quick Exceed Accel) and then it's over. Or maybe it'll allow you to get in. That's another thing with OD the effects are different per character. Some characters benefit greatly from OD (Jin) while others pretty much use OD to get out of a jam or otherwise isn't as useful. Also if you use OD then you're losing a Burst and considering how strong offense is getting that's a very risky thing to do. Especially since Bursts don't come back after the round is over and now you begin the next round at a disadvantage.

Some of the character themes do not suit the characters at all in Blazblue in my personal opinion. Bullet Dance, Silent Scream and Spirit of Fire in particular. None of those themes make any since knowing the character's personalities. Bullet Dance sounds graceful, Noel is not that at all, Spirit of Fire sounds focused yet mellow yet Bullet is hot headed and dense. Finally, Silent Scream is more sinister and quiet where as Terumi is loud, obnoxious and in your face.

After openings like Feedback bringing to mind the frantic fighting gameplay and the in your faceness of Guilty Gear. The usual stuff. There's also the backside:
It's themes such as Walk In The Dusk, it's the feeling you're left with after experiencing the bleak world and characters of Guilty Gear. The haunting feeling. Yet the theme isn't only dark it's extremely hopeful even light. It's a theme informed by GG, molded by it. All of it. Listening to it I think of Sol walking away from Justice's corpse, the split second Potemkin decides to take a bullet for Gabriel, Dizzy being reunited with Jellyfish pirates, Ky contemplating what is right in some unsavory back alley etc. It's a theme that is sure Guilty Gear is worth something.
In comparison Lily attempts to inform GG and you can't do that. Lily is a tired song, trying to breath life into a dead husk after too long, but GG isn't isn't dead, yet Lily thinks so and it tries too hard as though GG was just nostalgia. It's too grandiose. Too many belts and whistles. Lily was made before the game instead of as a result. It's not a reward, it's a sales pitch. This is why I call it shameful.
