With the addition of his new special move, he finally has an overhead. Its startup is pretty fast too. I think that this character having an actual overhead is big to him. He's also able to keep pressuring his opponent by using his j.2D, which is advantageous on block now, so I believe he's stronger now as a close-ranged character. Though, it leaves me a bit uneasy that his Messenga is only invulnerable to projectiles now. I don't know about him being strong or weak, but he looks more like an actual BlazBlue character now? Ultimately, I'll probably end up using Hazama, but Terumi might be my main character this time around. (Mitsurugi)
Take it with a grain of salt though. These are still early impressions even if they're from pros. And things are always subject to change for the console version.

I dunno. Maybe? Ragna can still use the IDEA Engine despite having no knowledge of its existence, so it looks like gameplay isn't actually affected by the story, which is normal in arcade modes.
I'm sure in the story mode, Ragna will probably have his Overdrive and Astral sealed. Maybe even his Distortion Drives as well.

So according to Mori, Nine doesn't have the standard "A-B-C-D" button format that other characters have. The reason he says she has no Drive is because all four of her buttons correspond to magic. D is merely an extension of of that. So it's not that D's magic and everything else is normal. Everything's magic.

Well in this world, Drive isn't just a gameplay mechanic. It's an actual ability. Rachel's Silpheed is her actual in-universe Drive. She even refers to it by name.
Nine doesn't have a Drive.

Why couldn't Mai be one of the entitled? Tager and Bullet for example managed to be that and there's nothing particularly special about them. If anything, Mai had absorbed a fragment of the Azure at one point, so she did have a link to the Boundary.
And it would be trivial for her to come into the story. The reason could range from her coming in to help her friends, like Makoto had previously done, to her family having an Armagus or something else the protagonists need to fight against Izanami.
As for what happened to the characters after the end of the manga, the answer is that we don't know. Presumably this is one of the things Mori plans to reveal in CF.
