CT: The strongest character storywise of the playable cast and the best character in the game as well.
CS: Loses her status as an Observer and subsequently gets her ass kicked all through story mode. Bottom tier.
CS2, CP: Stronger than the nobodies but only average among the important characters. Decent to good again tier wise
CF: From the Arcade routes she seems to be the woobie of the story again and is at bottom tier once more

Jin is looking strong not just because of his sword hitboxes but his EX fireball does a great job of invalidating approaches. Either he does it on an opponent's wake up and they have to block him, he does it during a pressure string and they have to take even more pressure, or he does it in neutral and the opponent can't approach him without getting frozen or being forced to block. Touya is fucking annoying as hell, I only played it for the girls. E's is adorable. The weird thing is that arcs had a twitter account for the the first game and Relius acted like he knew the characters. He said it's been a long time since he last saw them, to which the characters expressed shock and confusion. He was the only character from Blazblue to show up on that twitter.
As for it's connection to Blazblue, it's minical at best, It does explain Nine's eye, Celica's power of order, Shows us Shiurichrio's start of madness and the siblings mother, She's literally Celica with cowtits.
That being said, Sects looking like Ragna is something mori said was very very important as well as the identity of the speaker of the purple crystal and why certain characters outside of Touya and Hinata's caretaker have the same voice actors from Blazblue.

I'll tell you now that I'm actually not playing him properly. On a beginner level the things to pay attention to are his 6DB crossup, 2DA overhead and his 6DC charge in that has projectile guard point. As Jin you can actually C DP most of his stuff.

It depends who you play and who you're up against. Some characters have stupid good moves and others not so much. You just have to learn to play around your character's weaknesses.
To the Jin, my first piece of advice would be to make solid pressure when you're going in. Most people actually don't know when to punish. Stop using your air special in neutral so much because it doesn't actually accomplish anything. If you're approaching from the air j.2C is a pretty fair option. If you cross someone up in the air you can do j.D as well.
For Platguy, you've got a pretty good idea on combos but you've gotta recognize what moves do what in neutral. When I say that I mean that I see you press something like 6C when you should be doing 5B because your opponent is far away. The only Platinum specific things that I know are like, use all missles at once because you don't really need them, frying pan should be used as an instant overhead, bats as a DP, boxes as a way to force your opponent to not move, cat hammer for spacing and hammer for guard crushing.
For both of you I would say that you guys need to recognize the spacing of your opponent and where they're located on the screen. I mean like realizing their above you so should time your anti-air properly instead of mashing random buttons. If can spend time in training mode, an excellent idea would be to see how far your moves hit so that you don't press it and it just whiffs. I'll say more later.
Jin/Celica player here. My biggest weaknesses that I'm aware of are hitconfirms into somewhat optimized damage, reliable anti airs, and grab techs. Blockstrings are another thing I need to work on too.

I'm not too familiar with the revolver action table for Jin but I can tell you that 6C and 6D should be used as your way to reset pressure. If I had to think of a blockstring on the spot I would guess xx>5B>2B>5C>iad>j.D. For anti-airs it's really just recognizing where your opponent is relative to you. If he's above you then 2C his ass and get a nice combo from that. 5B>delay>grab that can work on a beginner level for grabbing people. That's what I can say for now. Platguy here. Just looking over the advice and some of the replays and I seen some of my problems. Well my controller drops the 3 input for 2 sometimes and 2C raw is suicide I'll see if I can mash that diagonal harder. I also kept going for 5C which is MUCH slower than it looks and I took lots of CH damage for it. I'm so used to SF where you can have a reliable normal and just throw it out there to check your opponent and 5C is not the case it seems that way because its fast and you can jc it but its more of a combo tool.
The magical tools is just something I'm going to have to learn in fights. It was a great lobby and I can't wait until another one is up. GG jinguy and bulletguy.

I think the arcade match quotes have spoiled a bit of the story, Ragna remembers Noel and she remembers him, their fighting quotes in matches are the "Baka ga!" and "Baka jin nai desu!" song and dance still.
