Claymore was/is great. What are you talking about? The only weird part is the fact that the author draws in a style where everyone's heads are too far forward and everyone has very similar faces (I'd put him above Hirai in that regard)

Jesus fuck this game is good. I know I'm slow, but the Steam sale enticed me into buying it. It's like anime X-Com with fucking tanks. The designs are so damn good, nothing crazy, very down-to-earth but appealing. And I'm pretty sure that if Alicia wasn't so great, I'd probably be going homo for Welkin. Kinda wish that there wasn't such a rush to end your action after firing, since you just get endlessly dicked on until you do, but aside from that, this is really fantastic.

Nah, it's alright. As long as the story ends decently, I don't really care too much about the sequels. Enjoying the hell out of this game, though. Haven't had a game I've had so much fun with in a while.

It won't. After everyone's tired of Witcher 3, TES6 will come out. After everyone is tired of TES6, Witcher 4 will come out, and so on, so forth.
There is no need for them to compete when making games on that scale costs years and requires tens of millions of dollars and hundreds of developers.
They'll just release in cycles until one company fucks up and another company takes it's place.

IDK. I sometimes bow if they bow, but usually if someone invades it's because I'm trying to do something, so I just attack as soon as I see them. It's funny to get a bow shot off while they're gesturing.
Stupid, pointless, and impossible to enforce in any way. It's just a way for people to further differentiate themselves and others like them even in such similar situations as playing the exact same video game at the exact same time.
Gets even worse when it's 'restrictive' etiquette like removing abstaining from certain gameplay mechanics or other intended features.

i agree, BC was the pinnacle for me. Naxx experience made me a shoo in to any end-game guild in BC, all i had to do was show up on time. i quit before Black Temple though.
Vanilla was where I was at my peak in raiding, but it wasn't the same back then because you had to build your rep up or no raiding guild would take you.

It used to be that the Final Fantasy brand was sorta unique. You had the main games, maybe a few random off shoots (tactics, mystic quest)... and that was it.
But after downloading the complete garbage that was Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, I realized they have completely ruined the brand by over saturation. I mean, like there are now fighting games, mobile games, etc all with the Final Fantasy brand.
And I see Zelda going the same way with all the various spin-offs and BS.
Is it REALLY that hard to just start up a new IP for these other ideas you have? Do you guys even care when they release a new Final Fantasy game anymore?

Only to someone who's entire experience with JRPGs was Final Fantasy. If you had played other JRPGs (then or now), you'd see that FF was pretty generic. And everything done in FF games has been done better in other series.
FF never changed. You just grew to realize FF wasn't the pinnacle of RPGs you thought it was.

As bad as it is, companies are not looking to make a good product. They're looking to make money. Even a shitty FF game will sell more than a new IP. And this isn't anything new. Remember that way back on the Game Boy, all those SaGa and Mana games were renamed Final Fantasy to trick people into buying them.

I meant unique in that not every piece of garbage had the Final Fantasy name.
In the first 15 years (1987-2002), there were 14 titles released with the Final Fantasy name (excluding rereleases , anime, etc).
In the next 15 years (2003-2016) there have been 44 titles released with Final Fantasy in the name.
Is it wrong to fastforward in RPG's to grind quicker? I feel it's wrong because this is not how the game was intended to be played but at the same time, I don't want to spend an hour doing something I can do in only ten, plus it lets me progress a bit faster so I keep doing it.
Man if you have to spend a major amount of time grinding for the main story in any RPG it's either shit or you're playing wrong
You can play the game however you want. I actually enjoy grinding as it relaxes my mind. That being said, the types of games I like to play don't require grinding. I just grind to get ridiculous skills or all items. Your average FF or DQ game can be finished without any grinding.
Then on the flip side you have games like Disgaea. And I can't stand playing the game at all, let alone grinding to level 9999.
Playing DQ1 (SNES) right now and been fast forwarding it. But DQ1 and 2 has tons of grinding and by the end of the NES and start of the SNES Japan kind of got a good understanding of level balancing. I mean there are games like Earthbound where you kind of need a few levels at the start before tackling the first boss but once you past the first hurtle most JRPG tends to be smooth sailing in terms of level balancing.
What did you guys think about the unlocks?
