Why is Dark Souls such bullshit? I always thought artificial difficulty was just a meme until I saw it for myself.
How the fuck am I supposed to fight 2 ruin sentinels at once? All of their attacks take up half of my stamina when I block, which gives me no opportunities to attack, because my character takes 50 years to put his shield up after recovering from an attack. I end up wasting my fucking flasks and their shitty attacks knock me off the platform and kill me with fall damage.
I could just jump down and fight them there, but then they get bullshit whirlwind attacks that are impossible to get away from.
Garbage. I could take them one on one, but I don't know who thought it was a good idea to give me 2 at once. With only 4 estus flasks.
And what the FUCK does this stupid blacksmith want? I gave him his fucking torch, he moved, and he's still repeating the same shit. I hate this fucking game.

Fall in and kill the first one, jump down and fight them just like O&S, back peddle and try to seperate them, get a hit in and back off. Repeat till they are dead. Or summon the mage and just hold up your shield while he kills them.

Horseshit. Taking a shield and blocking their attacks is like the easiest way to beat them for any character.

Zero Suit Samus will revive the Metroid series and for the better. Hopefully the Power Suit will be done away with it. No one ever liked it; they want to see Samus in all of her beauty, her breasts and buttocks jiggling.
The Zero Suit should more than suffice for Samus to take on her missions. Considerations of practicality shouldn't matter because it's a VIDEO GAME. We play to kiss ass and ogle gorgeous fictional women.

When will Western art design actually catch up to Japanese design? The variety and originality in western games is piss poor. It's like a competition who can shit out the most blandest characters fastest.
Akihiko's art alone puts the collective art output of the west to shame.

Broad audience appeal is far more important to western products of any kind. Japan is content to cater to a niche if they can find money in it.
Political inclinations or motivations in design are also more obvious in western products, if only because I'm more familiar with western politics than eastern.

That thought is combated by the fact that you also see fat and nerdy guys find success. Characters don't need to have washboard abs to get the girl. Look at any number of sitcoms where the lead is a fat middle aged guy or a nerd yet he has a hot wife/gf. Since you see multiple types of guys successful in every way, a chiseled body doesn't register as a necessary attribute.
Women don't really get both sides. Female love interests are almost always good looking throughout all forms of media. Examples of a woman being desirable due to her skills regardless of physical appearance are almost non-existent. It stands to reason that seeing this one-sided presentation of success trains women to recognize physical beauty as a necessary attribute and care more about appearance.
