I don't get these claims about how it'll destroy the stories pacing or go TellTale when FFVII was already designed with acts in mind since it needed a climax for each disc.

Where can this series go from here in regards to actual historical periods? Any stones left unturned that would lend itself to the Total War battle system?
3 Kingdoms period China seems like an obvious choice. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms games (at least the ones from the SNES/PS1 era) suck a fucking dick, and a Total War take on that period would probably blow that series out of the water.
Games based on American conflicts like the revolutionary war and the civil war might work, but might be boring due to the lack of factions. Maybe a total war: manifest destiny would work if it wasn't shut down by the SJW brigade (which would open up possibilities like having Texas, Mexico, and various injun tribes be playable factions)

He was one of the people Izanami granted the powers to. The exact same kind of power the protagonist has, so it's the same demon, but it's corrupted.

Adachi most certainly did. The first time you talk to him in the TV world, it's his shadow.
As for Namatame it's not clear, if he merged with his shadow or not. Because his will is not entirely his own during the final encounter, because Ameno Sagiri (or w/e the eyeball thing was called) was pulling his strings from behind the scenes.

Hey /v/, I need some advice, my old fat 80 gigs PS3 died some minutes ago and since I´m still interested on playing some games I just bought I want to get a new one, however there´s a lot of talk about the two slim models available like people saying the super slim is cheap as fuck and that the original slim dies really fast.
Which one should I get?

I have the 160gb one on the left (slim?) And I bought it over a year ago and it works fine. The super slim looks ugly as fuck in my opinion.
Main thing that's drive me nuts about the super slim is no self-feed disc tray.
