the controls and the backtracking are really the only bad elements in the game besides that it was just normal zelda but without anything to explore it felt really bland

It's nowhere near as bad as /v/ claims it to be. Not the best Zelda, but still a very good game.
My only real issue with it is the handholding and the annoying repeating text that appears when you pick up an item.
I don't know if this is old and I somehow missed it but here's Akihiro Hino from Level-5 talking more about Ni no Kuni II and saying some interesting things about it.

Is the post game worth playing? I'm at the part whereyou have to go alone to the desert looking for a way to bring back your partner.Wondering if there's any interesting story after the credits rolled like Explorers and Rescue Team had

good game, worth the 40 dollars. tons of content, fun characters that get you interested in them, the dialogue is great and i like that they didnt just rehash the "get into a rescue team fast as possible", the best dungeon generation or whatever its called in the series. the music is amazing, by far the best in the series
things i dont like
the post game epilogue, i felt likemew should have just became your new partner, and let your old one go. it kinda ruins the twist ending of the main story
i still feel like blue rescue team had the best postgame, explorers was basically just an extension of the main story and it got old fast, and smd doesnt last nearly long enough and just feels like the only thing to do is get all the pokemon. blue rescue team had sprinkles of story here and there, it was a motivation to keep playing and increasing your rank so you could see characters like gardevoir and gengar get an ending to their own little stories
i would give smd an 8.5/10

Its fucking great. Although there are some little annoying things about it. I don't like how weak normal attacks are, how slow leveling is, the fact that you aren't two kids kicking legendary butt without any help, or the low number of floors per dungeon.

JC3 Loading Times PS4 SSD Needed?
As my elaborate thread title suggests, is an SSD needed to enjoy this game on PS4? Hearing load times are fucking brutal.
I have only a 250 GB SSD and it is on my PC which I do not play much. After format I doubt I will be able to fit 3 games on this fucker. But is JC3 really so bad in the loading department that an SSD is necessary? Really want to pull the trigger and DL this game right now but god damn not even sure if putting in the SSD will even fucking help that much.

Its fun, I don't get the hate for it, its an enjoyable tales of game (as in, you gotta accept beforehand that the story is simplistic and some of the characters are gonna be caricatures)
