The latest expansion to SWTOR, Knights of the Fallen Empire, supposedly had many plot elements taken from the kotor3. Your quotes pretty much describe it, only the 'hidden domain out in the distant reaches of the galaxy' don't call themselves sith (even though they are ruled by the sith emperor).
It's called SWTOR.
And it's as shitty as the previous games.
There's too much market saturation for a Nintendo console. It's just a paywall to games that would sell much better on PC, and the marketing campaign could promote the simplicity of sharing the original Nintendo games with those that haven't played them.

Nintendo games are the least pc-like console games. If anything i find the existance of the ps4 and xbone much harder to justify when it feels like most of their games are just watered down pc games.

There is no "PC-like" stereotype. There are action games, MMOs, shooters, RTSs, racing, etc., and Nintendo develops very few of these.
The market would like to play their games, and they would like the market to purchase them, but they put a $300 license check in front of the market's driveway. As mentioned, their games on PC allow literally every demographic to purchase their games, as most are of minimal requirements. Sharing that culture is way more interesting than trying to develop a fresh bit of it with a console.

It's a good thing Bethesda wasn't under the same stipulations that Obsidian were for their bonus. They'll get to keep all the money for a rehashed reskin of their game with the only new things being ideas they took from modders. When obsidian was crippled by having to use their engine in the first place.
I like fallout 4, it's an improvement. Ultimately though it was an incremental improvement, that still lacks a lot of freedom and innovation.
It's just shitty how they screwed over Obsidian.
