Basically it works like this.
>you use your invasion item
>this summons an enemy into another players world
>if this enemy is killed you cannot Invade that player
>this enemy spawns in exaclty in the same spot every time and is extremely easy to find due to its loud as fuck bell ringing.

It takes like under a minute for her to summon you in. And if they're busy or in a big area then you'll get invasions. Do it in the Nightmare Frontier like every other fag.
Honestly the settlement maintenance and creation in this game adds a ton of play time and value. Legit brought it from a 6.5 to a 7.5 in my eyes. Yeah its not perfect and there are a lot of things to be desired, but if you get all 30 settlements, and add your own little touch to them all, it can provide a really nice creative outlet, as well as awesome little bases to stop by in when you're roaming the wastes. I really think that anyone who has just completely given up on this game should really get all the settlements and build something out of them, wall them in, set the defenses, make some farms, all that. It's clear that the Devs put a lot of time into these settlements, and if you use it to its' full potential it really is great. Great starting point is Spectacle Island, just clear everything and make that huge base. Also I might add that I'm still mad that the unique weapons aren't even really unique.

They're completely worthless. They're just an unnecessary timesink, with no real benefits, since it's ridiculously easy to get huge amounts of caps.
yeah this was one of the times where a pandering-to-popularity kind of feature was actually good for a game. being able to come 'home' after a long bout of exploring and stow all your valuables in a cozy house has always been a big appeal for me in the modern fallouts

I kind of wish they didn't retcon the Old Republic stuff. It doesn't interfere with new stuff at all. Unless they're doing something really dumb in VII where they have some 3000 year old prophecy or some such shit.
