Kojima is getting back to his playful ways. Seems like a pretty big part of his ethos this time around. He's already given sanboxes a shot, will he mess around with something like emergent gameplay this time?

It's hinting at mechs and cyberisation. Nothing new for Kojima but this time there seems to be a focus on the two elements being fused together. Something in lieu of ZOE, MGR or maybe even Snatcher?
What are you thoughts?

Alright, for the sake of my argument let's just assume this to be true.
So what? My main hobby is music. I'm perfectly fine with spending thousands on a quality instrument because it provides a better experience and makes the hobby more fun, even though there are perfectly fine and valid instruments available that are much cheaper
Same goes for any other hobby. A painter spends incredible amounts of money on brushes if he feels that they are better than his current tools, even if the difference in quality is in no way proportional to the increase in price.
Somebody who enjoys movies might set up an entire room dedicated to his hobby, whereas a simple TV would work just as well.
Why is it so different in gaming? It's a hobby with the potential to entertain you for decades, why not invest money into it to maximize your enjoyment? Why are you trying to go for the cheapest, "barely acceptable" route possible?
If you seriously like playing games you wouldn't play on PC.
Now go play League of Legends or CS Go and don't forget to buy their newest Skins.

So does Square actually legitimately think that these games are perfect and that none of the systems/stories needed to be updated? Here's an example of the games bad design:

>Have to go through 3 stages of bullshit maze caves and horrible random battles
>Once the vampire is defeated(and I don't mean the Lich guy), you get a ruby and have to leave, which means means going through the same thing 3 times
>Then once you give a ruby to a giant and talk to an old man, you have to go BACK to the vampire caves and go down the same 3 levels just so you can then go into even MORE maze caves
